  • That looks incredible, congrats! As a theme park enthusiast, I was happy you mentionned Diney and Universal, as you project is indeed very theme-parkish (down to the trip to second-hand stores for props, haha). Have you noticed, at Universal mainly, they do use the same perspective shift trick as your windows on some rides? The pionneer of that was Spider-Man (Islands of Adventure) which did that in 1999. It's called squinching, and it's not using head-tracking, but instead knows where the vehicle is on the tracks, so it's pre-rendered. But it works wonderfully! Also if you ever come to Europe, you might want to check out Toverland, which is pretty much filled with this wizard-style scenery; and Phantasialand, because it's plain amazing.

    • Another great method to use foam is to burn a bit with a light. It gets the superficial layer harder and looks like stone. Later you can paint it, or even cheaper, "paint" with concrete. I have used it and looks amazing. It is a really cheap and easy way to make "artificial rocks". But it is importan to use high-density polystyrene beacause is is harder. Is is a very cheap way to isolate the indoor of your home from cold and noises too.
