Being a bit of a hoarder yet actually being able to make things with the materials may make the habit worse. So I do try to be judicious with what I collect.

Especially in an age of mindless consumerism and heavy individuality, you show a connection between you, past people and their work and respecting everything, even being environmentally conscious with wood waste, landfills and using the existing plants. My man your projects are unparalleled. This continues to be my favorite channel. If somebody showed me the design of this shed I’d say “wow that designer is talented.” Then if someone showed me the execution of building the shed I’d say “wow that contractor they hired did a wonderful job.” Then if you just showed me the video I’d say “wow that director and editor and motion graphics designer are super talented.” The fact you did all of those things is legitimately inspiring. I’m in awe haha.

My daughter and I started to tear out the walls of an old shed in her yard. The studs and roof were fine but the sides and floor were a mess. She’s continuing to work on it. I sent her this video for inspiration.
This is exactly what I imagine when I dream of rebuilding old homes. A respect for plants and the joy of aesthetics. A piece of my heart always breaks when I have to watch people rip out well grown trees and vines. Thank you for only pruning and preserving!

Zipedee Doodah! From Monstrosity to Marvelous, you are a hero. Everything is charming and original and looks to have stepped out of the year 1860. And of course we want to see how you finished the interior, silly question! I love that you saved not only the trumpet vine, but also used items that many would toss in the trash. I have a Trumpet vine that tries to swallow my little garden shed, but I am able to control it with heavy pruning every year. I love the way it shoots its branches straight up and out of the roof top like Einsteins hair.

Your my new favorite KZheadr. I'm a recently retired guy who's trying to build a large cottage garden in suburban NJ. I'm also planning to turn an existing shed into a dark acadamia / art deco style man cave for whisky tastings, cigars and study. I need the confidence to just do it and make mistakes. I started watching you in the garden, then your closet library and most recently the shed. I do appreciate the production value you put into it. I wonder if one to expand is to feature others who have done similar projects. You're championing a certain look and style that has a strong niche in America. Dan

I'll admit going into this vid I was expecting the classic KZhead carpentry of brand new play wood and the whole nine but was pleasantly surprised at the amount of character you gave this shed. I really love how it came out.

I am so very happy you popped up in my feed. I swear our mind are linked when it comes to beautifying what once was trash in to treasure.
