  • That last conclusion is spurious and ridiculous. I do NOT think they believed in the idea of "bad blood." They most likely wanted to spare any would-be descendants from the stain of being related to a monster and all the problems that would come with that, such as unwanted attention. Unwanted attention like this very documentary brought.

It's not a grand story people would be interested in, outside of people like the historians in the video. And by staying silent and not talking to anyone they're just sending the message that there is something more going on, like their father being a nazi or something.

Maybe that it was some ironic twist around Hitler's views, and how they themselves didnt want to put any children through the torment because of their "genes". i.e. that both views are different but "bad ideas". But either way it did come off as offputtingly smug.

    • Wrong, why shouldn’t they get some pay back for all the crimes of their ancestors? I saw another documentary about Hitler family members in Austria, about 5 years ago. They were generally very open and let the cameras into their homes. There was incest in their family that’s why they went mad. But knowing this helped them to manage and overcome their personal challenges. Hitler escaped to Argentina, watch the documentary film Greywolf and Mark Felton videos Find the Fuhrer.

Sadly the second part of the film is just junk , self important paparazzi type cheap journalism. The guy making the film harassing the old boy at the end trying to trip him up with questions, trespassing and stalking him with secret recording devices is disgusting and shows how low second rate journalists will go.

The mainstream narrative that we've all been taught about those years is full of lies and mischaracterization, loaded with false accounts. There were MANY (probably thousands) documented accounts of them prosecuting, imprisoning, and even executing their own soldiers, officers, and party members, for criminal and immoral behavior. Most would be shocked to finally realize the dishonest tales we've been sold. Seriously.

He gave nephew Patrick a few job leads which Patrick screwed up, I understand. It’s amazing how ordinary Hitler’s early family life and family of origin were. Nothing about them, no eccentricities, exceptionality, weirdness, genius, etc. could have pointed to Adolf’s uniqueness. Adolf’s father was very abusive towards him and that’s the only outstanding feature of Adolf’s early life, and he was very close to his mother. Perhaps Adolf did have an abundance of creative energy and since he didn’t live the life of an artist, that creativity was channeled into his socio-political passions.

  • Didnt like the treatment of the family at the end. Leave them alone. Would be interesting to gain insight and understand where William Patrick Hitler really stood. Why did he take on the name of a noted anti-semite, give his son the middle name Adolf, and yet joined the US Navy, toured around denouncing Nazism etc. Very odd. But whatever the truth, it has been taken to the grave, and no real point in harassing his sons.

    • I take that with a pinch of salt. The descendent being interviewed could have gone indoors and locked the door or simply refused to comment. Also the audio was perfect, he had to know he was being recorded. The descendent was possibly wearing a microphone. He was probably paid for the interview and the "hidden camera" was for dramatic effect. The descendent was able to make his point quite clear: that he knew nothing already known and it had nothing to do with him. Which is true. Would you stand there and be interviewed if you did not want to? Unless of course you were paid and got to say what you want and nothing more? To be clear I don't believe the descendent had anything to hide, it really did have nothing to do with him but I think he was paid for his time and was well aware of the filming.
