  • Hey everyone! Just want to quickly add a note here due to a few comments on the castrati bit 😅: Yes, we all know Dimash is not a castrato, as I say in the video. The Farinelli clip is to provide an idea of the effect I can imagine Dimash can have on people - his voice is so remarkable that it is quite literally unbelievable. He can apparently do what castrati could, plus so much more! The clip of Farinelli’s singing making people faint is just a bit of fun 😊 Thanks for watching! ====== Check out my other reactions to Dimash Qudaibergen in the Dimash playlist below! kzhead.info/channel/PL-tAjLxAAkA8ENlOk6-WAYZd-dqKxYmdT.html

    • Completely understandable and that's why I loved your reaction too! That comparison was hilarious because it IS how some Dears react to Dimash's beautiful voice. He also have many Dears around the world, the most versatile following I've ever seen, that's why some may not completely understand that part. But I wouldn't sweat it, it's just like that sometimes when you have a variety of cultures clashing.

    • I first learned about the Castrati from, believe it or not, an Anne Rice book. I've always imagined how they sounded in my head so it was great to see your example. It puts yet another spin on the talents of Dimash. I usually roll out The Diva Dance to explain his talent. It was written as a piece in which the jumps from some notes to others couldn't be done by the human voice. Hence that wee bit in the middle that's in the movie 5th Element is actually done with each of the notes sung separately and then digitally arranged (obvious when you listen to it). Many opera singers have given it a really good shot and been very very close to the film version. Then along came Dimash!! 😉😎

  • Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audience to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. Please react to Sinful Passion next. And watch the videos from start to finish and you will see how kind and lovely he is. And I always recommend turning on the subtitles, if available. Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest. The musicians who accompany him are called A-Studio. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. If possible, always watch the videos from start to finish. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible. These last three mentioned songs are mind-blowing and will leave you speechless. I promise. Sinful Passion: kzhead.info/sun/ip1_nKiFeqFuf40/bejne.html If you like some really great fancam versions then I recommend the one from the Moscow concert: kzhead.info/sun/qNyFmNuefXiLhKs/bejne.html Or another one from the Arnau concert: kzhead.info/sun/jK5-nKuAaZqnqK8/bejne.html They are all a bit different. Shock, awe, wonder, denial, more shock, then amazement, love... a true Dear will want to discover everything he's ever done, we go nights listening to our favorites. We start to compare him to singers we've known all our lives, we hear other songs in his voice, and say, he would sing it this way or that way. • Nowhere near the top or bottom of his range or skills. What makes him the "best in the world" goes beyond just his insane vocal ability. Add to it his stage presence and showmanship, his ability to seamlessly perform in nearly every genre, performing in over a dozen languages not including his two mother tongues, playing multiple instruments, his skills in composition, his ACTING... What makes him the "best in the world" is the whole package that is Dimash. Not to mention his incredible humility and he trains like a beast! My favorite on stage performance is "Love Is Like a Dream" at Alla Pugacheva because of the way he approaches the physicality of the song.

Of course, his God given voice is like that of an angel 💖🎶 But what really keeps bringing me back to him every day and to reactors who react to him.. is the way he puts his whole heart, soul and body into his performances. That, in turn, makes his listeners feel all kinds of emotions...some that they didn't even realize they had 😀🥰🤗😥😮 We, his "dears", will be right here with you as you discover Dimash and his true artistry 😍💕🌷 Enjoy!!!❣

  • Really enjoyed your reaction!!! The reason people often suggest SOS for a first introduction to Dimash is because it combines a variety of styles and high/low notes. So does “Stranger”. And maybe “Sinful Passion”. I don’t think any single song can display the full range of Dimash’s talent, nor should they. One needs to hear at least a dozen different styles of Dimash songs to start grasping what Dimash really is. And now he has moved into film and technology using them as a medium for expanding the boundaries of music as you can see in The Story of One Sky and El Amor En Ti. He composed both. Looking forward to more Dimash reactions!💕

  • Welcome to the world of Dimash. His range is from I think an A1 or B1 to (get ready for this) a D8, yes a D8. The high note in this song is an E6, which was his highest singing note, now it is an F6. He can sing a note for what seems like days. In the russian song "Sinful Passion" He shows his deep singing voice, which then steps up slowly and then he does vocal magic at the end where he first sings an E6 in classical operatic mode and then does some traditional Khazack singing at incredible speed and then he hits a high note in his mix voice that then climbs flawlessly to an E6 mixed belt and then followed by vocal magic and all on one breath for approximately 25 seconds. He does "Ogni Peitra (Olympico)" Which is an operatic piece from bass baritone to high soprano (E6). Next is "love is like a dream", a slow love song where he sings low and soft, then sings like an angel (literally) and the into his famous mix belt at the end that goes forever. "Ave Maria" in I think someone said similar to Caccini's version, but it's Dimash and it's all sung soprano vocalize up to an F6 and ends with an insane C6 sustained magic. His latest vocal magic masterpiece is "Stranger" a five-octave song written for him where he sings bass to high soprano and ends with his famous F#5 (it's sharp) belt in perfect vibrato forever. It's quite a pleasure to be alive while someone who can sing this well lives. Enjoy the journey and there are even more songs to listen to by him. Great reaction by the way.

  • Believe it or not Dimash can basically do what you showed in the clip.. He is very comfortable in that “castrato” range, & in Sinful Passion New Wave LIVE performance he does a 24 second run in one single breath, but instead of this type in the clip which conserves a lot of energy & breath staying still at that high note range…. It’s with BELTS AND RUNS!!! 🤯🤯🤯

Dimash also writes some of his own music. I would recommend Stranger, Olimpico, Ave Maria, Opera 2, War & Peace, Sinful Passion, Daybreak. Those are just the tip of the iceberg.

  • Hi. Watching your face, and hearing your reactions, was PRICELESS! So thrilled to hear from someone as expert as you, critique Dimash! I am not a music person, but know A LITTLE.😏 But, I tend to agree with Dimash. His purpose is to bring joy to his Dears, and provide moments of pleasure, outside the every day world we live in. When asked about his octaves, and other magnificent aspects of his voice, Dimash is evasive, and speaks reverently, and expertly about music, and the intricacies of this art. He is incredibly humble, even though he practices at least 3 hours a day, and has voice coaches assisting him. He has a PHD in musicology, as a multi instrumentalist, and can sing in multiple octaves. Even with all this, Dimash is a form of joy and pride to his family, country, and his DEARS. I believe Dimash’s aim, is to bring us all together, and instill in us a responsibility to and for each other in this world. This is especially evident, in his work, “A Story of One Sky”. I think, as you follow Dimash, you will be continually AMAZED at this incredible MAN. Thank you for bringing Dimash to your channel. Look forward to many more of your expert analysis of our dear Dimash!❤

  • I would say that the reason why so many people suggest SOS as an introduction to Dimash, is because it was that very song that introduced him to the world. If you check out Singer 2017, when he was just 22 + years of age, and watch that version, you will see that it is his purest version he does, of the song, one for the history books. He has never replicated it, with perfect placement of the tonal perfection of every note and every phrase, right up to the very last note. As I said, one for the history books. But if you want his range, he sings, female soprano, all the way to coloratura, and you can see this in Olimpico, especially. It is a modern-day cantata written for him by the great Russian composer, Igor Krutoy. Anyway, I’m sure that you will enjoy the Dimash ride, and I think that you are going to be really blown away by many, many performances, including his sustained full belt end notes. 🎉

  • Dimash is not just a superb vocalist. He is a composer and during performance he lives on the pages of the music and in the lyrics. He is the world’s best singer and even Bocelli agrees.he can traverse 7 octaves in one breath. Who does that. He goes from his lungs to head without an obvious transition. He blends both extremes with such class. He is the greatest in the world.

  • Mostly, when he is referred to as the best vocalist in the world, arguably, It is mainly in reference to his near perfect technical ability and breath control and vocal control. What adds to his legendary status among most who know him is that he is also a consummate performer. Those of us who know much more about him also know he is a phenomenal, exemplary and special human being outside of his stage persona. As a side note he's held quite high notes for as long as 20 seconds.

  • He's still young, 29 now, and I forget how old he was here, but it was a few years ago. His lower voice is getting stronger and deeper. He's 6'3" so may well have the vocal cord length to reach full basso profoundo when his voice matures. What's clear is that he has the dedication to his craft that he will realize every bit of potential it contains. He truly is a marvel.

As you know him better, you will be amazed by each performance you hear. He is educated in music like nobody from singers I know, doing a doctorate now in musicality. He does not like when people talk only about his range, because his art of singing is all about emotions and his messages of love and peace....he says that his range is just his instrument. My recommendations: Stranger, Ave Maria...He became well known from the Chinese competition "I Singer" in 2017, when he was 22 years old. You should start from there and go up.

React further to and millions of Dimash fans will simply blow up your channel with hundreds of thousands of views and subscriptions. Dimash sings from classical to rap, he is full of surprises, have a good swim in this vast ocean of pleasures. Do you remember the Diva song from The Fifth Element, a movie with Bruce Willis? In this film, the song of the alien Diva was made half with the voice of an opera singer, and half synthesized on a computer to show an alien voice so that human capabilities could not cover the range and jumps of this song, and so: Dimash sang it calmly, which proves that Dimash is an alien. When heard Dimash sing, I thought that he was not human. VWhen heard what he said in an interview, realized that Dimash is more of a human than all of Us.

He was so impressed when he heard him, he realised that it gave him the scope to compose music over as many octaves as 7 at the time and someone could sing it. I think someone said the other day on a comment that he now covers 8 octaves.

  • SOS is a beautiful French Canadian song from the 1970s and is considered one of the most difficult French songs to sing. It has become almost like an anthem for Dimash and provides a small sampling of Dimash’s range and technical abilities. Dimash does compose, but seems to prefer collaborating with others unless he is deeply invested in the subject matter. He has studied classical and contemporary vocal techniques and has a variety of instruments which he is proficient in as well. Some of Dimash’s compositions include Screaming (from his teens), War and Peace, and more recently The Story of One Sky, which was a three year labour of love which garnered Dimash a medal from the Pope last year. Aside from Dimash’s technicality, Dimash is incredibly emotive, with the capacity to elicit great emotional response in several languages. You provided an interesting commentary with historical references: I’m sold! Looking forward to further Dimash reactions and getting to know your other reactions as well. Cheers from Canada!

And all of his registers in between 😂 For me, he is the best singer in the world not only because of his range, but because of his stage presence, technicality, mic handling, breathing and control, voice colour, versatility, transitions between registers, tonality, being a musician (he plays 7 instruments), an awesome composer, singing in 13 languages, clarity of his voice, commitment and dedication, being an inspiration, a role model, being humanitarian, humble and loving‐ he named his fans Dears because they are beloved as family members to him (who other artist did that?) and the list goes on. Temas? Sigue con Olímpico, Know, War and Peace, Golden, Screaming, Ok, Ave María, Be with Me, Fly Away, Strenger, Ikanaide, Historia de un cielo... He has a reported 7.2 octave range and you didn't hear either his lowest or highest note here. He is a phenonmenon, a once in a lifetime vocalist. He is also a multi instrumentalist and a composer. He sings all genres from Opera to pop, rock, folk jazz, classical and he even raps in some songs. He also sings in 14 languages, even though he doesn't speak in them. He has a worldwide fan base (he calls his fans his Dears) and is the most humble, caring and respectful young man who is very proud of his country and heritage. I hope to see more from you. Look for Stranger, Sinful Passion, Olimpico, Love is Like a Dream and Ave Maria (not the one you're thinking of!) Dimash never fails to stun and amaze with every performance. Thank you 😊🙏💞

  • You probably would be quite interested in a composition of Ave Maria written specifically for Dimash to sing which is a vocalise version song entirely in the soprano range

  • Dimash is a "Rabbit hole" Of his songs, Ogni pietra more shows his classical voice. Across Endless Dimensions is a movie theme he performed. His Ava Maria is a vocalise and is different to the traditional version . Stranger(Often has copyright issues), showcases his range, with nearly 4 1/2 octaves within the song. The Story of One Sky, is video movie he created over 3 years, using a lot of his own money. Very sad and powerful and well worth watching. There are a multitude of others to choose from.
