Clement and Daddy moments are priceless. Clement is going to cherish those memories. And you as well Amy, will cherish all these memories, especially since you have been documenting them, the children and the whole family are going to love seeing them later!
The chateau is so beautiful in the snow. Loved seeing bits of the village. And found it hysterically funny that you both forgot the matches! Such a delight to see Juliette’s enjoyment as well as Clement joining Marc in the digger.

My family lives just outside Chicago, so winters are generally cold. I have a nephew who insists on wearing flip-flops all year long! Another lovely vlog; thanks for sharing your journey.
Juliette is such a beautiful baby girl and her smile just shines. And I loved hearing the men’s chorus as we watched the fire burn.

Nice to see Juliet wrapped up nice and warm, its good for her to get out even in the cold for a while and watch Mum and Dad. Clement enjoyed his ride in the digger. I missed the live. Checked notification bell. It was not on. I am kicking my self for that. Amy here in western Canada, people do wear flip flops and sandals well into winter, early in spring. Snow, -c temps. So no, I am not surprised Mark does. Loved the video, love the channel. Xx

What a great video Amy and Marc. I don’t think I have ever seen such a large bonfire. My late mum used to love a bonfire, obviously a fraction the size of yours, but we used to put potatoes in the bottom to eat when fire was finished. You are recording such wonderful memories of all your hard work. So lovely to see Juliette and Clement. Sending hugs to you all xx

You did not have personal attachment to that vineyard to shed tears but I can tell you it 's devastating to watch a part of your legacy to end ! May the Mother nature give you favorable conditions to build it again and start a new story ! Good luck to your project !
There were no vines - they were destroyed by a commercial forest plantation in the 1960s. What we’re burning are just the stumps from the acacia trees that had taken over.

Wonderful video in so many ways: seeing what you're doing (the magnitude of everything never fails to astonish), your gorgeous children, your way of communicating with each other, the village, the winter views, no matches 😅, Marc's sandals. My husband can understand that. I managed to call him back when he was just off to school in his sandals, in the snow.

So satisfying to see the piles of stumps burning. Spring is burning time here in mountains of NW Montana USA. January we usually have two to three feet of snow. So once it melts sometime in April there is a mad dash to get burning done before fire season.

Well done you two hard working people! One big thing of the "todo-list" :) Must have been magical to watch the fire during the darkness in the evening and night. With the snow as well. Impressive with the mens choir according the fire. It reminds me a lot of a ancient tradition we have in Sweden ( where I'm from) where we in spring (last day of April) light a big bonfire in the evening to celebrate that the winter now is over and we are moving towards summer. We also sing around the fire. And a male choir is a common thing. Apparently the tradition goes as way back as the Celtic times. It´s called Valborg night. Referring to a British nun called Sankt Walpurga who was on a mission in the old France. She died in 779. So it's a very old story! :) But fire is always fascinating! 🔥 Lovely video ❤

When you showed the fire burning towards the end it looked like a witches face to me. Love being able to see things in a burning fire.
Just love the ending with that music, Adonis, just perfect 💯 You have a Land Rover! and the only remaining stylish model! Interesting to glimpse the other buildings, I was quite disorientated for a time. Marc was enjoying 2wd in the Ranger! 😁

I’m with you Ami 🔥🔥🔥 my signs are last day of Pisces, first of Aries so I love the ocean and fires. My best day is hanging at the beach all day, with a bonfire at night, I sleep like a baby after that. 🌊🌊🔥🔥. I lately discovered an Australian group called For King and Country who do a great song titled “ Burn the Ships” with a satisfying video. Ship burning on water🥰🙋🏼♀️. Great fire by the way👍🏼🙋🏼♀️

I’m jealous, your Polaris has a horn. Neither of ours have horns. 😮 BTW, a benefit to burning is to mineralize the organic matter, and add rich nutrients to the soil.
Ha ha - the kids love the horn! Yep that’s also why we slow burn in a large pile so that it’s more charcoal than ash that’s left. It will be ploughed back into the terraces.

The ashes of the burn pile will be good for your vegetable garden.
We’ll hopefully mix them into the soil here in the vineyard.

my experience with burn is if you bank it then it takes longer to burn it. But for safety you really need to have it banked at night if youre going to leave it
Yes we’re really wary of the fire risk in this forested area so we tend to leave them banked. This also allows for slow burning which makes charcoal which can be spread on the land.
What, no smores? Graham crackers sandwiching chocolate and marshmallow that melt to perfection over an open fire: a pure yum sugar high. You missed a golden opportunity!

I live in Minnesota, so we get precipitation. My rule for burning brush was 10 mph or fewer winds, so it didn't get out of control. We had an electrical fire in the attic on a high wind day St. Patrick's Day, and the house burned down to the stone foundation.
