  • 100% Agree that Hermitcraft is less Mr. Beast and more of friends just hanging out. I think Mr. Beast is more like your blockbuster movies and Hermitcraft are more like a soap opera, they both have their place. Soap operas run for decades, while block buster movies come in and out of fashion.

    • Unpopular opinion, I guess: I *don't* miss the early-2010s KZhead videos that were hastily recorded and even hastilier edited. I remember creators putting our *daily* uploads that were mindless and ultimately extremely forgettable. Today's longer form, polished narratives have almost completely replaced TV for me, and, like TV shows, I'll go back and *re-watch* my favorite Hermitcraft episodes, which is not something I ever felt compelled to do with the stuff I watched in 2014.

Some of the best hermitcraft videos are the ones where you gus are just goofing around. Like earlier in the season when you guys sent people into the sky on a pig in a boat. Or Mumbos most recent video where he compares who has the weirdest PC set up. We as viewers love progress of course but what makes it fun is when you guys have fun.

  • This is BY FAR my favorite season of HermitCraft ever. The new recruits - not just Joel and Skizz, but Gem and Pearl as well - have been extremely effective at driving more interaction and collaboration between Hermits, and have seemingly breathed new life into some Hermits' flagging interest. The Hermit Permit idea has also been great for adding more reasons for people to interact. Builds this season have also felt more inspired in many Hermits' cases. Jevin's interior he did for Hypno is easily my favorite build I've ever seen of his, just for one example. And of course, a certain goat horn is THE funniest thing I've seen in HC history.

  • The "basically just one scene, a few people hanging out, making something, talking about stuff" type of video from Xisuma is really working for me. Idk, I like it when a video is contained, in that way. if that means the content creator has to worry less about making a narrative happen, that's a bonus to me, tbh. I think it might feel risky to go back to that because the big production video is sonething that was born from growth, and an evolving, of like, the craft of youtube. so it might feel like it's a step back, to not do a big production and instead rely on your friends and colleagues', and your own skill and personality. but idk it just feels relaxed, watching a bunch of pros doing their thing, unbothered, you know? if you keep these coming I'll keep watching them, that's for sure.

  • The discussion about upload frequency was so interesting! As a viewer of Hermitcraft, I honestly appreciate the weekly-ish uploads from most creators do because of the fact that I'm watching so many perspectives this season. I like knowing there will be often one Hermitcraft video each day or two, and am happy for it to be any of the twelve hermits I'm following along with this season. Generally, even for solo uploads, one to two times a week is the sweet spot for me. Anything more tends to turn into video overwhelm and makes my backlog get quite long. I like getting to look forward to a particular creator or series, even if in the moment I wish I could watch "just one more".

  • I definitely think that giving the option to watch an edited video but also giving the option to watch the whole stream if you want is the way to go. Some people even watch both. Then people can choose, and you dont have to worry, at least not as much, about what viewers want to watch.

  • Idk why, this episode took me through a couple of emotions. At start I was giggling like crazy like a teenager who loves double meaning jokes like. -the title "three hermits, one hole" - 0:13 "I gotta take you down." - 0:35 "here comes xisuma ball." - 0:54 "I havent managed to shake the shame." - 1:06 "I hope you got a lot of balls on you." But then as the video progressed, I felt so 'included' when - 1:41 the ideas were trickling in. - 2:22 to 5:43 How prepared you were with the build-part. -5:43 needs a special mention. Then I understood how stressful it is for content creators - 7:00 I didnt know that creators have to deal with so many things. - 10:54 Honestly, I am really liking this slow paced gameplay style of hermits this season. Lots of peer-interactions and all I love it. Also, you dont need that 'hyper-entertained' thing for my attention. Also, there was the element of nostalgia. - 16:26 I just went into deep thinking state reminiscing my childhood so much that I missed the next entire 3 and half minutes of the video and had to rewatch that part. 17:50 No we dont play it anymore ren. I personally think that there games were played last by 2006-7ish borns. I vividly remember playing and having so many good memories of them. - 19:16 That present to ren really was very emotional. - 20:00 You guys did the miniatures very well. I loved it. The talent you guys have is mind-blowing. In conclusion, I would like to say that I have not made a summary of the video but instead pointed out to my most favourite bits of the video. I wanted to show my appreciation to all the creators. And thank you for this so perfect ep.10 of season X. I am truly thankful to you with tears in my eyes. Thanks❤ Edit: please ignore any typos or grammar mistakes. English is not my first nor my second language. 😅

I feel that idea is one that came more from certain members than others, and I'm glad you guys are getting back to what actually makes HC great!

I do enjoy the hyper edited videos, but I love the older season vibes and I think you guys are right about feeling more invested as a viewer being along for the ride more then as opposed to now waiting until a project is basically complete before we get to see it. I don't know that I would watch an entire Hermitcraft season that was JUST these types of videos, but I really like the additional diversity. I don't want you guys to get stuck in the "In Today's Episode we're going to do a MASSIVE build" pigeonhole either. We don't know you guys personally, but we get to know you a little through episodes and streams, and we care about your happiness and health, so this seems like a great way to get more balance.

When the music stopped, the person holding the item was out and it kept going until only one person was left. There weren't any prizes involved though when i played it with my friends. And i do feel like a lot of the kids nowadays should be outside more than on the Internet, if only because there is a lot this world is losing and they wont ever know it existed. I also really enjoy these kinds of videos where friends are just hanging out, not really doing much but still having fun and i totally understand the whole "oh i haven't thought about this creator in awhile, what have i missed?" as i have done a lot.
