Gray Zone Warfare could be massive if the developers play their cards right. I hate using the word "potential" but this game has lots of it. Leave a like if you enjoy the video and subscribe for more. Thanks for watching!

  • That's how you create a game that will make player happy ! - You build your base idea - You cook a little - You share your hopes of what you wishes it to become (like that people and devs can project) - You invite usual player (of this genra) to test the cooked alpha versions - They speak to you - You listen - You cook again Congratulation, you have a made a new game that will make people entertained ! And so far, the game looks very cool, the concept behind faction, servers as map = party, and no "run".. you have something that looks like arma or tarkov, that is not arma or tarkov !

Christ's chin that was insane 😅). The points made throughout are ones I was thinking as I watched through this and various videos, all of them were bang on. In agreement with all of it. But once the masses get a hold of the game… plenty of people will try to ruin it for the rest. I hope they take their time to implement measures to counter. Nice video and solid feedback tomo✊🏻

    • This is why we can't have nice things. Who'da thunk it that a game plays well when it is played as intended, right? People like to cheese it whenever they can and that's when gameplay loops fall apart. The players seem to forget that it's not always the devs, but the players themselves. If you fall outside the way it's intended to play, you're going to have a bad time.

I, for one, am glad that there is a way to showcase the game to the public while not enduring the issues of an unfinished game. And if this testing phase means that we get a better game then why not let a small group of people test it first and get the issues fixed.

    • I don't understand the whining either. The Steam forums lit up with that crap. "Now we know where the devs stand" "This is shady letting only streamers playtest" "Streamers aren't the general public" Blah blah blah. It's obvious why only content creators got invites because they have an audience to share it with. More eyes on the game means more people can get interested in it. Besides, it's not like they got sponsored to play it, and Madfinger even explicitly stated you can say whatever you want with no repercussions for doing so. Anyone that got a key can rip the game a new one for all they care and that's awesome. This means Madfinger has confidence in their ability to make it better in the future. I like a limited playtest given to only content creators (doesn't have to ONLY be these people), just the fact its limited because that means they can suffer a buggy mess and run the game through its paces before the public gets it. It's misplaced outrage and doesn't get us anywhere. If anything, I think some people just want to stir the pot in the hopes it coerces the devs into just letting everyone play early before the Steam release. Glad to see MF didn't cave to that peer pressure. I have high hopes for Grayzone.

  • If this was released to the public, it would be a cluster cuss. The internet is a fantastic place to share ideas and build communities; however, this is the same place that invented the term "troll." This play test would be absolutely no fun if it was available to the public. You wouldn't have any gentleman's agreements. You would have a bunch of 12 year olds spawn camping their own faction to get benefits from the work of their teammates, rather than trying to figure out how to complete tasks themselves. Alternatively, I could see a group of trolls killing everyone and anyone to loot powerful gear and then running straight to "ground zero" to lose that gear in an area that is inaccessible to most or all players. Outside of all that, man, for a prealpha, this game is handsome!

    @JuneauGTW@JuneauGTW17 күн бұрын
    • I can't imagine Grayzone won't go without a harsh punishment for team killers. A kick or ban from the server or wipe your stash if you repeat offend. That would straighten up the douche nozzles that try to pull the garbage. We'll have to wait and see what they implement.

      @P.W.R.@P.W.R.17 күн бұрын
    • But what's the point of releasing the alpha in a state that has nothing to do with how it should? That's pretty dumb. That gentleman agreement is what shield them from the harsh reality of their flawed design.

      @knuckles7410@knuckles741014 күн бұрын
    • @knuckles7410 I agree with you, in part, but I guarantee that every single one of the content creators have given the devs feedback on this aspect of their "flawed design." However, in the interest of being able to test more of the game, the content creators have adopted this agreement. Otherwise, the entire pre-alpha test would just be a bunch of team killing and nonsense. My point is that the devs are not ignorant of the problem.

      @JuneauGTW@JuneauGTW14 күн бұрын
    • @@JuneauGTW Would be difficult to be ignorant of the problem when the whole internet complains about it. However they shown that they didn't had any solution for it. Otherwise, they would have implemented that solution before the alpha release. The problem with that is that, we have no idea what solution they will implement for it, and that solution will certainly be a game changer, that should have been tested prior this release. Let's not cope and be honest. They wanted to rush it, they already messed that up. How do you know how the game will play after they implement a change? It's kind of misleading to make people play it without having solved major design issue.

  • So, after 24 years in the British Army and plenty of operational tours there are a few things, the sound is fantastic and the difference in shots fired and the whip crack of shots going over you is spot on. Also on the positive side, the use of tactical map markers following the NATO standard for the different assets is also spot on, nice touch. However, if you are going to have different factions then surely they should have different air assets to bring you in to avoid confusion? The use of 400 (sic) mags is completely unrealistic and IF realism is the aim then ammo should be conserved and mags should be limited. The use of secondary weapons and what you have in your ammo bag or bergen should also be limited to assist with proper mission planning and tactics predicated on your target set and the mission main effort and concept of ops. Comms would also be a good inclusion, you can do team talk if you have radios in your loadout but it's great to see that proximity comms are standard, there's no way you shouldn't be able to talk to the soldier next to you. The scenery looks amazing and the game looks superb, even with the bugs. It's the most realistic war shooter I've seen and it will go on my wishlist as soon as there is a release date.

    • The Scam Before was an outlier, an exception. To assume every yet-to-be-released game is a scam does a disservice to actually legit people building games. There's a lot of scummy "games" out there, but luckily there is also many good ones too. The advertising and dev blogs for Grayzone are nothing like what Fntastic was doing. No removal from Steam. No BS story about a trademark dispute. No shady-looking "gameplay" teasers. Madfinger has been more open than Fntastic ever was and that alone let me know, at least for myself, that Grayzone wasn't going to be fake. Nothing wrong with skepticism though. Glad to see Madfinger was able to prove naysayers wrong. I'm looking forward to this. It looks like Grayzone fixed what I dislike about Tarkov's gameplay loop while also expanding on the genre.

  • I think that the devs have so far a very, very solid foundation to build on but some of the aspects need to be kept, some improved, some redone: -as far as team killing goes, there is probably no easier way than to have the OPTION to set friendly fire off / on per server -OR have a usage of distinctive teammate flags, insignia, reflective stuff - honestly the only thing I like about BattleBit for example, is the usage of distinctive red / green stuff on players, or for instance like in DayZ a proper arm band with proper custom insignia / flag is imho important -another solution could probably be the usage of LZ helicopters being only allowed to full squads and having such being marked on map, name tag, or icon tag and meanwhile having solo players who have the ability to just become lone wolves who cannot use the LZs, fall under category "bandit" and have distinctive clothing / camo as opposed to other players in squad / faction who have distinctive camo / clothing... a mechanic to prevent teamkilling could be that a successfull raid without teamkilling gets extra / bonus loot while squad members who turn on each other will bleed tickets and after some tickets lost will become /be marked as bandits and being disbanded from the squad / team resulting in a worse loot than if teamplay is included -overall team progression might have or could have some benefits as opposed to friendly fire, as opposed to being a bandit with the option to join the opposite faction -including extra loot stashes / loot containers could become easier for factions, while having team-specific gear being required by each faction, meanwhile being a bandit should require one to be able to get loot by either stealing loot or rewarding the abbility to survive over other players - as in teamwork vs lone wolf skill -more maps will be very much needed in the future to add diversity to gameplay All in all there is a lot of people around me and on the internet who are as of now very interested in this game and hopefully it will deliver something new and exciting.

  • Referring to the hard heli drop zones, do you think the creators can also add player controlled flying, so in the case a landing zone is being camped in theory operators could fly in to cover at different angles?

  • Out of all the complaints I've seen. the biggest being infill camping. i was watching a guy who was killed 4-5 times in a row right as he was getting off the helicopter which sucked. it was disheartening for the guy! A couple ideas I've mulled over to counter that! is almost like a helldivers approach to launching a mission let the squad pick where they land in a certain area! just so they could potentially avoid the infill camping that will happen. another idea i had was you could rappel from a helicopter in an area that you designate as a squad. and the 3rd and final idea i had was could make the bird a gunship and give the players an opportunity to murder the campers before with a crew serve Gatling gun on the doors of the helicopter!. i don't know just a couple i came up with

    • Not bad. Or the devs could get troll-ish and have ricochet damage if you attack players still within the infil boundary. So in other words, if you try to kill a player that is still within the boundary you get the damage you dealt reflected back and it will kill you if enough damage was dealt. Something like that. Or maybe have random landing spots. There's a way to counter, it's just a matter of Madfinger willing to do it.

  • I certainly respect what the Devs are trying to do here. As with any pvp pve game though there are concerns with cheating and exploits. The game itself is gorgeous, lots of eye candy. The missing features like climbing ladders destructible environments ie. windows will undoubted be something they work on. The biggest concern I have is also one the highlights of the game. This game is running on Unreal 5 and while it does allow for lots of eye candy it is also system intensive. We have seen lots of footage so far but most of the people playing ( at least the ones I've been watching ) are running some pretty high end hardware. Will they be able to optimize this game enough to run on mid tier systems. As it sits unreal 5 is difficult to do this with. At least with the games we have seen released as to date. Digital foundry has spoken on this very issue. Not overly concerned personally, my system should be fine but the friends I game with could be left out if the game is not optimized enough to accommodate older rigs. I am looking forward to trying it out in the future as it could be some good fun for fans of tactical extraction shooters. Thanks for all the game play BTW
