Schwanzus Longus Most Hardcore offroad rigs are all pretty heavily modified. You can get through pretty rough terrain in more stock rigs but you risk all sorts of damage. Hardcore Off-roading almost always breaks stuff and that's part of the fun and challenge. Most modifications are to strengthen weak attributes, increase clearances and to allow driving slower and in more control. A little extra horsepower and torque never hurts either!
I wish they had this on Snowrunner.

@@fjb4932 It was annoying, but it's easy to lower the sound, and better than turning off the sound of what some adolescent thinks is the greatest thing.

The MOST satisfying offroad ive seen on YT so far, NEW SUB! Pure sound, no music, i love it.
This thing is exactly as capable offroad as every 12 year old would dream of it being.
Next time we go out it will be snow offroad. Fun to see how it does then. 😎
Be prepared to be surprised at how much it will struggle! We've got a military vehicle off-road Meetup we like to have out in Indiana that happens a few times a year. Last winter, we did a January meet where there was just a bit if snow down, but the ground was frozen. It was just shocking to see how badly _all_ the trucks faired in getting over simple obstacles just because they couldn't bite into any of the terrain. Everything from small CUCV trucks to 5-ton 6x6s.
@@JimmyNewCakes winter you need good chains to the tires. 🤩 It's looking like we don't get snow this year. Last year we had almost 1m of snow. Now zero. 😣
@@WhateverOffRoad oh wow, even in finland? Same thing here in southern canada. All the lawns are exposed and it's raining right now..usually we have a good 30cm. Global warming is a hoax my ass.
@Otto vonEarth I live in Canada mate, I know what winters looked like 20 vs 10 years ago.. also Lapland is quite a bit further north than I am so obviously you're gonna have more snow.
It would be interesting to see a off-road "battle" between Volvo C306 (or C304) 6x6 vs Pinzgauer 712K 6x6. Both are very capable vehicles.

Find a Cool Guy named Tom in Randellman N.C. He imports 4x4’s and 6x6’s from Sweden ..Has quite a few Volvo C303 Vehicles. Don’t think he has a Website but a bit of Digging and you’ll find him.
That is the most capable offroad all rounder I have ever seen.

@@WhateverOffRoad the two drivers I rode with for 10 months in the Swedish army during conscript training back in 03-04 never seemed to have any problems in getting where ever the Captain wanted to deploy our 12cm towed mortars. Regardless if on snow, sand, gravel, mud or bowling over 2m tall stands of growing Juniper bushes in any incline XD

2:11 - 2:33. He would have had to call in a Dozer to extricate him if he was driving a Mog.This in my view is the ultimate off roader, never gets bogged down like the Unimog, just keeps going and going in the mire.

That creaking suspension would drive me crazy if it were mine ,haven't they heard of lubrication?
They have reversed rear springs on rear 2 axles with ends sliding on axle blocks, thats where most of the creaks come from.
Squeaks and squall's, creaks and groans, but the damn thing goes!!!

This is a C304/4143. The C306 is a flatbed troop carrier with a longer wheelbase. Aka Terrängbil 20.
