brogan yeah they really are exhausted. I mean I saw them last Saturday in San Antonio knowing they perform in Austin the next day. They definitely looked exhausted during the show I went and it seemed rushed from song to song. But I still had a great time lol. Knowing these boys are doing the best they can and I was just thankful to finally see them in person

This might be the best interview of the trench era I’ve seen so far. Lighthearted, informative, no repeat questions. Tyler went so much more in depth about Dema then he has before, so much he felt like he may have shared too much. I love the explanation of Ned and how he’s kind of outside the narrative.

Compared to some, these questions were great. If I have to hear “what’s your favorite song to perform” one more time. Lol. I’ve watched TONS of interviews and this one was pretty dang good. Tyler was a sassy pants, he interacted a ton and a few of the questions were unique and a few were funny. I learned a few things. I like the “layer” explanation. It makes me think the list of questions I’ve been forming in my mind might not go over well. Might be too personal. Need to stick to that outer layer for now. And I like how he explained that the music basically allows us a look inside and you can bypass those other layers you wouldn’t normally get to. Very interesting.

But I wish I was in another city of their concerts, because it felt rushed in SA and it made me feel a little sad. But I still have a really great time that night seeing the boys

i went to the Houston show, i believe the night before the San Antonio one and they were amazing💛 They made sure the audience was still up and going and i feel like they put their all into it :)
Houston was amazing! And they interacted throughout the show. Tyler had the security join and dance during My Blood. It was really funny.

Tyler Joseph, was definitely being sassy frass, but he did offer great insight into leadership and taking ownership of your success. About figuring out what that is for you. He spoke about being focused and having and holding onto your vision! He went on to talk about not getting sidetracked with "hobbies". We have to put in the work in "working hard"! Excellent advice that is relevant to whatever your dreams are. Go get'em! Thanks Tyler!
the way Tyler expresses him self with words is truly descriptive and authentic , which is rare nowadays but that's just one of many reasons why I look up to him.

First of all ‘Photograph’ was my class song in high school and everyone hated it but our yearbook people picked it. Second of all the advice Tyler gave about following their footsteps was something my sister and I were talking about on our drive up to Austin for the show bc I’m the guys age and I remember growing up and going to local shows and there were numerous local bands that had good songs but nothing came out of them really after years of them playing shows and I said that maybe their problem was that they were more focused on the ‘scene’ and not the actual music and that Tyler/Josh had to genuinely have been so intensively focused on this music like it had to have meant the most for them to have come out of it like this and I wasn’t even thinking of it in terms of them now being on an arena tour but just the production on the song we were listening to at the time the actual sounds hitting your ears. The idea that now they say the fans have so much to do with their sound and what they want to put out means a lot, that there’s still a lot they haven’t done or are eager to do after all this time.

I enjoy both just as much. I like the older days (2009-2012) because it did feel more intimate and exciting. I like everything since because it feels as though they're branching out more and gaining a better grasp of what they're doing.
i'll bet they purposely go off topic during these interviews so they can have longer conversations with fans. even when it's about something as dumb as a broken down coke machine (or if tyler is sassing you) it probably means the world to these people to have a conversation with them

tyler himself said that there is an inner layer of fans that really understand and those are the ones he listens to for inspiration and motivation. he knows who will get the cryptic messages and the weirdness and who truly connects. not disrespecting those who are just there for the music, but he knows who their banditos are.
i think they thought that fans would ask better questions, not so basic (i haven't seen it yet but based on the other ones, you can tell tyler is really dissapointed when the questions are kinda basic)
