"Tune up time" you say, mate they haven't got their mast, sails hydraulics and god only knows what else set up, all the other BS needed to tune her up. They're miles away from tune up time, they're just fek arsing about getting towed around like a tow tube, all be it the most expensive tow tube on earth

So... Is it just me or dose it look like a futuristic, stealth, patrol boat? (As is obviously)
Tow testing??? The Kiwis launched their boat a couple of weeks ago and sailed away with it and looked really good as well. Also tow testing doesn't give any accurate data because the boat is minus her mast, sails, hydraulics lines etc which means there's a lot of weight missing from the towed boat. It will foil quicker without the extra weight thus behave very differently once everything is aboard, so what is the reason behind tow testing, why not get the whole thing up and going like the Kiwis have?

All technology advances as long as it continues to be used. If not we'd still be on square riggers not knowing how to go upwind. I feel like the pinnacle of the sport should reflect the top ideas of design and technology.

@@ClaytonwFirth regardless of the technology the AC is still shallow waters regatta with large crews were most of the fight happens between the layers of the yacht clubs instead of the sailors. The real deal is the Ultim flying multi-hull class, especialy when skippers are soloing on worlds oceans.
