*For some reason* I find this both disturbing and satisfying
No, it's just wonderfull.
No me too!!😅
Disturbing thing to me was.. not once, not twice, but three times this creature just kinda chucked nearly half of its entire body as if it were a toenail clipping.
Disturbisfying (Disturbing+ satisfying = Disturbisfying)
@@jxicy.scheme4986 the logic was kinda implied ;) Fun Fact, cited from vappingo: "A portmanteau is a word that is formed by combining two different terms to create a new entity. Through blending the sounds and meanings of two existing words, a portmanteau creates a new expression that is a linguistic blend of the two individual terms."
Just a reminder that the small things that get overlooked sometimes are the most beautiful!

It looks like a pearl ⚪✨
Maybe but , it is shiny ✨️
So beautiful! It's so cute when it gets out of the cacoon and dances
I know right! You can usually tell what process led to a certain aspect or trait being selected. But what series of pressures and selections led to a creature completely reforming itself after willingly going through an extremely vunerable life stage. It boggles the mind. Not to mention the fact that it evolved independantly on several occasions. Crazy stuff. Now I got some googlin to do, thanks. Lol
The Generous Degenerate Lol, i also did a bunch of googling after posting this. The theories are much more interesting than i even thought. If you type "how did metamorphosis evolve" the first article by scientific american is amazing. It takes like 4-5 paragraphs before you get to the good stuff, but then it gets extremely fascinating
The Generous Degenerate But the gist of it is that during development, the pre-larval stage sometimes doesn't absorb all it's yolk, so some eggs didn't make it to maturity. This led to some pre-larvae to develop the ability to eat the left-over yolk in their egg to get the nutrients and finish developing. But then came times where the yolk was too small for development, so when the pre-larvae still needed food, it ventured outside of the egg to find it. Once it had the nutrients, it could create a new "egg" and finish the development it would have done inside the egg in the first place. The stuff about how the second egg/cacoon evolved is a bit murkey to me, especially since its been a while since i read it lol But it was extremely beneficial, b/c it allowed the juveniles and adults to live on entirely different food sources, effectively doubling the amount of food available to that species. That's why there was such a strong selective pressure for animals to evolve this way. Presumably it's the same in tadpoles/frogs. They don't make a cacoon, so they're like half way there which is cool. Definitely give the article a read if you wanna know more, i barely even explained a fraction of what was there. It's really interesting
The Generous Degenerate Sometimes I think that insects seems more developt than humans.
Danielle Spargo cute!
Wow what a beautiful thing 🐛➡️🦋❤️❤️❤️
It would not feel so beautiful when you go to the jungle where they live.
It's all cool until realize a dozen of these send a tree to the hospital.
Doran Martell as a gardener I’m like “cute caterpillar, now get off my plant you lil monster.” They can absolutely demolish plants
If they are doing their work in their habitat it's all fine
So like a human except it only destroys trees.
Doran Martell and thersten humans destroy just as many trees as caterpillars 🤦🏽♀️
@@Mar-ft9xu yes. That was my whole point dufuss. That caterpillars ONLY destroy trees; unlike humans. 🤦♀️
Let's just appreciate how beautiful the nature around us is❤ How can people dislike this? Its disturbing 😣

@@LadyUsakoB Let's just assume that😂

Yeah how can they dislike it
I never knew that the moth still had growing to do after getting out of the cocoon!
m3rrys0ngstr3ss just drying the wings
If I got it well a lot, maybe the majority of insect that comes out of a cocoon require some hours to perfectly dry up the body making it more tough...I just have to find out why...
I also think that the wings swell up with blood, or maybe that is just the dragonflies and damselflies.
@@Nokturnt no moths and butterflies do it aswell. That's why there abdomen(or butt) is much bigger when they first emerge.
@@Nokturnt I am sure for the dragonflies and dams, but i still have to check the others!
When they hatched it seemed as if they were dancing with joy!

Tbh, I prefer moths over butterflies, moths for me are more beautiful as a caterpillar and as an adult
Aldrich Luna same here! Butterflies to me are overrated. I prefer moths, sure they eat our clothes, but if butterflies liked the taste of our clothes I bet they wouldn’t hesitate to chomp down on our sleeves!

Wow how beautiful nature can
There's no doubt, it's a beautiful thing to look at. Unless you happen to have a farm or a garden. Then those cute little creatures, wear out their welcome really fast... Personally, I enjoy looking at Ladybugs, they are so tiny and cute. I'll buy a thousand or so of them each season. Just to enjoy their antics...🐞🐞🐞
Does one have to Buy ladybugs these days...
When I was little, I would trap ladybugs on an little glass, I was such an horrible creature
I've saved a few ladybugs from drowning in my grandparents pool 😁 then I hold them until they get their strength back and can fly away
@@ksc743 Maybe as biological pesticide
thatguy2377 I get your point. Mine was really that there used to be ladybugs around naturally. One didn't have to buy them. But companies like Monsanto (roundup) have killed everything in their wake including all the good bugs like ladybugs. I wonder where she buys them. What a strange world we live in that people sell bugs these days! Same with earthworms. When last did you see one? The earth used to be full of them. Now people sell earthworms. Sad earth.

I was so shocked when it started stretching after just being born few seconds ago, such an active child lmao
The beauty of nature!! Where a worm turns into an angel.
I had these caterpillars as pets when I was young. Saved them when they were crossing the road. Caught and I took care of them admiring the whole process of them turning into these beautiful moths. Truly amazing to witness and set them off again... learned a lot off them when I was a kid.
I've never got to see this process before. They sure go through a lot to become butterflies!

My favorite part about these caterpillar videos are when the moths and/or butterfly’s are changing in their cocoons, it’s very very interesting to watch, I’ve always been fascinated with the cycles bugs go through(most bugs just not all...only some)
