Hustler Raptor Mower wont start FIX [ Battery and Starter Solenoid ]
My Hustler Raptor 42" zero turn mower would not start. I change the old battery and install a new starter solenoid. These two repairs get my mower back up and running. If you have a lawn mower that wont start check these two things first. If you turn the key and your mower makes a clicking sound when you will need to replace the solenoid.

Nicely done. A companion video about using a multimeter on the solenoid's terminals to confirm it is the solenoid and not the ignition switch would have been great to film at the same time.
That's very true. I was trying to make this video real fast. Because when I went to look up, what was wrong with the mower There were 20 minute videos showing the same thing.
Thanks a lot man really helped me get my mower back up running
Nice! This issue was a pain to find but simple to fix once you know what is going on.
Thank you for making this video I truly appreciate it
Nice to hear the video was helpful!
My solenoid was replaced by my neighbor friends. ( Now I know how to do it ) And I have a Hustler Raptor SD 60 inch cut mower. And it cranks and runs but when I sit on the seat it cuts off. If anyone knows the answer please let me know. Thanks for this video Nicely done !
Thanks for the help.
Happy to help. Simple fix for an annoying issue.
Good job Thank you for your service
Happy to help. This was an easy enough fix.
Thanks for the help!
Happy to hear it was helpful!
Their is a safety switch on your seat. Check it. Make sure the wiring is good. No breaks.
Great video, editing makes it look easy, but you should include the oh crap moments, like dropping stuff, arcing out the wrench, the corroded bolt that refuses to come off, the slip where it took the skin off your hand, not that any of that happened, but it sure does for the rest of the world
Haha how did you know all of those happened! I was going for short so those who realize the mower is not starting can watch this fast and solve the issue.
Ive done it hundred’s of times, making it look that easy can get rookies in way over their heads
Great video
What is the part number for the starter solenoid if you don’t mind sharing?
Disregard. I see it under the description. Thank you so much for this video. It is very helpful
Nice! Happy to hear the video helped.
My whole key fell apart !!
I hear nothing at all when I turn the key and my battery is at 12 volts
A 12v battery should read 12.8v when full.
@@LandtoHouse What does it mean if i keep going thru solenoids? The mower works well for 1 or 2 starts and then it doesn't start again
A serious waste of time
This fixed my machine.
