This is the scariest and most sorry I've ever felt for a zombie. It's not a mindless brain eating entity, it's a literal infected animal trapped in a state of feral, and in an empty body.
Sierto que triste😣😣
No😢🎉😢😢😅😊😊😊😊😮🎉😂😮😅😊😂😂😂😂😂😊😊😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
And it had to watch itself kill its herd, family, anfriends without being able to do anything. Absolutely heartbreaking 😢
Kinda reminds me of rabies, minus the water drinking part.
Que es eso
It's honestly scary how accurate this is to rabies. Having encountered a rabid animal once before It was suprisingly similar.
It’s not too far off from rabies, but it adds a form of parasitism via controlling the central nervous system and the flesh rotting off. It’s more akin to prion diseases like mad cow disease or chronic wasting mixed with rabies. If anything, this fictional illnesses resembles more similar to mad cow disease.
@@shadowflame099 You are aware rabies targets the central nervous system? it literally goes to your brain.
Foaming at the mouth occurs when the throat muscles go into paralytic shock, causing the saliva to froth up
@@joehumpston7937 A cause due to neural damage from the rabies virus. However, as shown, the dinosaur has shown to be able to swallow after gulping mouthfuls of water. It didn’t show signs of hydrophobia. It’s possible the later stages of the plague may have induced the paralysis in the esophagus after the host is taken over. Much of the plague remains an eldritch mystery.
@@shadowflame099 I got you. Turns out that Rabies virus is only transmissible to mammals.

The fact that it caught up and *PASSED* another *FULL SPRINTING ARGENTINOSAURUS* scares the shit outta me.
Shows how the plauge sees physiology and says “fuck that” They would not be able to run like that let alone jump.
@@axehead45 I like what another guy said, the thing controls the brain, and there are a lot of limits that aren't physical, but rather your body trying not to damage itself. Which is observable through drunkards who fail to listen to what their body says due to their state of mind being pretty poor, and also some insane people who also have the same problem.
the fact it could outrun spear and fang too makes it even worse. sauropods arent built to run like that either. there big and bulky
I don't think large sauropods could sprint.
@@miguelsantiago1448 Depending on your definition you're using sprint just means to move as fast as you can, no specific speed.
The sound did it for me. It sounds like the dinosaur is constantly struggling to breath from all the fluids in its airways, and that makes me feel like I can't breath listening to it.

I felt so bad for the dinosaur that got infected. He must have gone through so much pain transitioning into a zombie.

The fact that his symptoms progressed so quickly into signs of infection is scary. He literally only took a few steps before he felt out of breath and was in desperate need of water. Then it quickened the process of decay while putting him in a similar state of the lyssavirus.
Right?! There is a lot to be terrified with this scene, but that is definitely one of the scarier aspects.

That last dinosaur got the best death yet lol getting impaled through some tree spikes and dying is wayyyyyy better then getting bit by that zombie thing and slowly turning into one of those zombie dinosaurs
It's a sickness thing. He killed all of those dinosaurs in a "rabies" like rage. They're not turning. Evidenced by the bite that turned him, he kicked the little dinosaur and it hit so hard the body broke, and it literally couldn't go on (didn't keep crawling on, despite an intact skull). Brain (eye) went back to normal in the final moments, almost leading to believe this is a single monster itself, passing from host to host, and leading the host down a genocidal path of self destruction (can't find no more, transfer to a different host) Numb to pain, numb to damage, but not numb to death, it seems (also weird that the eye goes back to normal like it does, in the final moments, like there's some kind of magical origin to this sickness). This thing is just about like all the other monsters Spear and Fang have defeated with fire, desperately destroying its current host as it tries to infect one of them to continue on.
@@landonletterman831 dont know man. The big thing is surely in pain by watching it to the last second of the episode and it seems resilient but it keeps screaming all the time. Its either because of the plague driving it nuts, the wounds it sustained, the organs deteriorated, the brain put past or beyond its limits, breaking the laws of its physiology or all of the above. Good thing it died in the molten lava but who knows how many it got infected or were infected prior to this poor thing's demise. And if only exist only host I hope that will be the last time otherwise who knows if a night feeder specie or those raptors catch this virus.

How is one zombification feel and look more terrifying than most horror films.
Such a massive sauropod is probably the worst possible animal to get infected by the plague of madness, I think this because sauropods are so large they are literally on the verge of being to big to live on land, but if a sauropod where to force itself to use its massive body in a way that forfeits their own survival and surpassing the limits of there bodys, they could do insane things that only godzilla could do otherwise, at the cost of their life.
2:46 It was supossed to break the vertebre in the half💀
Everyone’s wondering why the other dinos didn’t turn and it seems like a pretty simple answer Correct me if I’m wrong but they took life ending injuries so they wouldn’t be able to turn unlike the first one that just got bit on the leg and didn’t die instantly
1:57 Night feeder: void ghidorah Infected Brachiosaurus or smth: wither storm
Something that bugs me with this scene is that the infected one bites the Alpha and that game ends it but the tiny Dino bites the big one and it gets turned.
Probably because it died on the spot
I think this plague can only be active on one creature at the same time, that would explain why the parasaurolophus died just after it infected the sauropod. The sauropod was a much better host for the plague , biggest and more dangerous than the first . If the plague could be transmited to multiple hosts then all the sauropods would be infected .
@@neomorphdestroyer3383 that's not how viruses work especially if we're taking something like this one it seems to be based on rabies witch spreads through saliva and from what you can see in the full episode this sauropod gets bitten turns then during its rampage it falls off a cliff and gets stuck in a area where it can't move but it brute forces its self into a bigger area tearing of a huge chunk of flesh too the point you can see bones and this some how means that the one it bit couldn't get up and go on its own rampage.
@@LightRaven96 Well this is just a theory, because from what we can see this is not a regular virus at all : after the first infected dinosaur died the thing on his eyes retire , and later we can see the same thing in the eyes of the infected sauropod ( like this thing can "possess" only one host and the original host has to die after infected another creature ). Because if the infection could work on two hosts at the same time then why the first dinosaur died immediatly after infecting the sauropod ? And we never see another infected dinosaur after the sauropod was burned but he bites many other sauropods , so i dont think this infection can spread like that.
@@LightRaven96 given that there are supernatural elements in this show, it would not surprise me if what we're seeing is a form of possession that goes from host to host via infection.
The thing that always irked me about this scene is that the brontos, if they are anything like the large herbivores of today, would be aggressive af, not run away. Things like elephants, hippos, elk, etc. They are ready to throw down when threatened.
It's gigantic. It wouldn't care about anything short of a true predator.
I mean ... they were gonna throw down or at least attempted to, the zombie just got the first hits and was assumingly stronger than usual they only started running away when a bunch got beaten down which is what a herd of elephants would probably do.
To be fair, elephants and rhinos are agressive because they have predators to legitimately fear in their habitats. Those dinosaurs are so humongous I doubt they have any natural predator, therefore they have no use for a brutal temper and are just gentle giants
They don't have predators once they reach adult size, which takes a while to reach. Their size gives them a reason to not have fear of pretty much all predators.
Herbivores are also intelligent, one of them tried to fight back right at the beginning and got slaughtered, the others are gonna recognize it as too dangerous to face and make the smart decision to try and flee

I always got a twisted land before time vibe from this. You can't tell me that wasn't Littlefoot with his grandparents!
What ?????
Why did you say that, tell me,why?!
The fact that it turns herbivores into homicidal meat eating zombies scares me the most I mean if you think about normal zombies even human zombies , we already eat meat its not that weird after all but image seeing a cow or a moose eating another animal Honestly that feels more scary than a normal zombie
Not so much, a cow or moose would definitely eat another animal if they're already dead, and they're not exactly adverse to killing either. But normally they don't run around with the sole purpose of murder...
Plot twist:this is little foots future self.
Normal zombies scared me for a long time then I got over it this makes my fears come back bro
I never feared zombies in games not even the realistic jump scares and such, even though it’s animated this brings on a fear I wish i didn’t have I need a men in black “Forget Me Stick” at this point
1:00 Ich nach dem Lockdown wenn die Bars wieder öffnen
The animation and the sounds makes this really creepy
Its kinda equally weird and scary that the first dino just bit the bigger one and died after getting smacked once, this one went on a complete killing spree and, for a time at least, survived getting dipped into lava just to continue on. Its like the virus switched from 'transmit' to 'murder'
I mean the little shit got thrown into a tree with god knows how strong of a force. If that didn't shatter everything inside him then I don't know.
Plague Inc skill issue. Never up the severity that much when the number of infected is that low. Even in prehistoric times, that strategy won’t work
To imagine such peaceful giants be turned into violent seeking monstrosities in a matter of minutes scares the absolute shit out of me
You want to know what I find the most terrifying about this? That thing was drinking from the water after it got bit. I mean, I know Rabies doesn't spread that way, but still we don't know what kind of disease this is since it is in the past.
It is the plague of madness idk if its in the past or future or present
this is an interesting take on zombie infection. Like imagine that, like its not a dinosaur walking around but a zombie dinosaur unable to feel pain and just going on pure killing instincts. and then bring in humans. crazy stuff
While this is one of my favorite pieces of zombie media period, my mind wanders to more horrifying ideas like where did the virus begin? Is that water source no contaminated and able to spread the plague to anything that drinks from it? What would have happened if those others had survived and become infected? I love it.
It was such a big mistake to watch this when I’m trying to sleep. It’s literally 1:56 AM as I’m typing this. Oh goodness this is so terrifying!
It's the central nervous system that allows the infection to move the body around so it would have to be fully burned either lava or fire
This is better than the modern zombie films
I think people don't realise its genuine power although it is obviously recognised as an unimaginable threat
Most terrifying here when the first he get biten and see himself becoming zombie and is vomiting a blood
I wonder if this plague was started by the scorpion devil? Reason I am thinking so, is because the Sauropod was really persistent in pursuing them, and we know the scorpion wants them. Altough then again it could just be the virus that made him persistent.
i guess this particular pathogen's disease symptoms makes the infected host insane and uncontrollable till it dies due to severe infection
i wouldnt think so, why would the scorpion devil need to make this virus if not for fun? besides, from what we know mira was the first of his to venture onto this island, so why?

The only question i have is, how come the brachiosaur or however you spell it, turned but we didnt see the other one turn when it got bit, after it tried to stop the first one? That would have been cool to see.
I agree to the answer that it died on the spot, maybe if a plagued dino bit a dead dino it wouldnt turn id say it has to be alive
You have to be atleast alive to get infected, if your life processes of your body stops working then the pathogens can't utilise your body anymore. (well they still can for some extent but as you're dead already, they can't turn you into a 'walking' infected.)
I think that was more lethal bite than it looked.
This is still one of the best zombie pieces of media imo. The fact that they took a dinosaur that's normally portrayed as a gentle giant and turned it into a horrifying undead monster and then did it RIGHT is phenomenal. There's no dialog to tell how the main characters are feeling or what they're thinking, but the level of 'show, don't tell' of Primal overall speaks where Fang and Spear don't. When Spear looks down into the empty chest cavity of the mad sauropod, you can just tell that he cannot comprehend how it is alive and moving and just how terrifying that is for him. In the end, too, you're struck with this powerful emotion as you watch the episode come to a close. That's not even touching on how grotesque and perfect the visuals for both zombie dinosaurs are. It all just works so well together; Tartakovsky and his team blasted this one out of the park. tl;dr: Man The Land Before Time reboot gritty af.
