all animals, especially elephants are happiest when they are in the wild, in their element, with nature and left alone. very nice glimpse into their frolic, the way it should be.

They didn't seem frightened at all. On the contrary, they seemed quite excited or even happy about something. Perhaps they had just reached a favourite place they hadn't seen for a while, or it could be a good season, no mating squabbles or tensions, and they just had lots of energy and felt animated. Whatever it was, the atmosphere was more like that of a party than a spooked mob.

The grown elephants would stomp the crocs to death. That's why crocs would never ever come close to a herd of elephants (or hippos).

I think they just know to keep moving as a group through that river - nothing scared them but they were very alert....
