I felt for Jeff during the Hartlepool one. And I like that no one took the mick either, they looked genuinely gutted for him.
lol Yh woulda been cruel you could see lip going as he asked Mersin whose in 😂
Steven Moore yeah I did! I’m glad they didn’t rip him for it. Hartlepool means the world to him.
yeah, all football fans have been there, it hurts and we still keep coming back for more!
Great day in Darlington 😂👍
Sorry for jeff but being a newport fan the dug themselves out of the bottom in that last month and didn't deserve to be relegated either. Emotional day
That Leicester Watford one was insane, I don’t think you’ll ever see another one like that again. The double save and then straight down the other end and score. It was absolute justice as well because Knockaert blatantly dived to win that penalty.
One of the craziest moments in all of football, but I'd never seen this version of it until now. The crowd's reaction is just amazing!
Imagine missing a penalty in the last minute and then conceding at the other end
LarsHD Well, it doesn’t anymore does it? 🤷🏻♂️
What hurt even more about it for Leicester is that even with missing the penalty, they were still heading to extra time or pens if necessary, but Watford’s goal sent them straight through. Gg.
@François Maurice Only in extra time I think.
LarsHD I think looking back now they would of wanted it to happen that way 😂
LarsHD and Brentford
Clip 1: Doncaster in the Championship Clip 2: Doncaster in League 2 Clip 3: Doncaster in League 1 Why always Doncaster? In different leagues?
We just seem to be like this, last Season we scored in the last minutes against Charlton to bring the Play-Offs to extra time. Then in extra time we scored to make it 4-3 on aggregate but disappointingly we conceded straight away. It was 4-4 until we eventually lost on penalties
Turquoise The Wolf if only away goals counted double then we might be in here 4 times 😂
Cause we're best
Because we’re bottle jobs! But we have Big man Darren Moore (one of our own) and BIG BOY COPPS FOR ONE MORE SEASON LETS GO
They're just here to ruin everyone's lives
Never has the phrase 'Unbelievable Jeff!' been more appropriate.
Nothing will ever beat that Deeney commentary. Classic!! This is why we love football
Imagine singing “Did you cry when Deeney scored” to a team who went on to win the Premiership...
@McBizz 9 glad leeds is back also watford did well for 5 years
I bet they cried more when Kevin Phillips scored lol
And the FA cup.
@@darthsidious1959 Yup! I thought the exact same thing this weekend.
The funniest thing is that if Knockaert had scored Leicester probably wouldn't have gone on to win the Prem, at least if they had managed to beat palace anyway
4:34 "They're all cuddling each other. They've got love bites and everything." Lol, what!?
Got to love Merson
@@danieloliver4558 Imagine working with that mouthy imbecile. How he is on our TVs I'll never know but then again so is Jamie Redknapp and Joe Cole.
@@Cheximus Yeah you have a point funny from viewer point of view but no I wouldn't want to work with him
Martin Tyler would never have said that.
The facial expressions as well. Oh my God 😂
Doncaster go through some serious stress ahaha
Yes we sure do
Doncaster has always had stress haha we never have any luck
Too right😂
Apart from the third one obviously
First one was the season after the third but we were already promoted in the Hartlepool one
3:53 That guy getting took down by the steward haha
Haha
As a Doncaster rovers fan I find it amazing that we were involved in 3 of the 5 moments! Never a dull moment being a rovers fan 😂
POV you came here to remember everything good about gillette soccer saturday, like me! Haha
And you're in three different leagues in those 3 moments
the watford one sounds like a kid commentating over his big brother's fifa gameplay
Yessss
I was so gutted for Jeff when Hartlepool went down.
Yeah. I think all lower league fans can totally sympathize there. Heartbreaking.
@@johnstanlake1399 as a hartlepool fan I can tell you. Worst feeling
@@johnstanlake1399 as a carlisle fan i wanted them down now i miss hartlepool away
Deja vu for Jeff now,unfortunately.
It’s funny how the Doncaster game was more dramatic than Watford’s because it secured certain promotion and not the Play off final yet the commentary makes Deeney’s more memorable
The commentator was shocking at the donny game, had a London accent so probs a Brentford fan
There’s a reference to what happened on the last day of the regular season-Watford gave up a late penalty to lose automatic promotion, if I remember; is there video of that game in the last day anywhere?
@@2themoon863 the game was Watford at home to Leeds where Watford won 6-1 earlier in the season. Almunia failed a fitness test so Bond was in goal. He got clattered by a Leeds player and so Jack Bonham came on a sub keeper. He was at fault for the goal Leeds scored in the first half. Nerves got the better of him and he froze and Leeds scored I think with a minute left to win 2-1. Bonham was released and recovered. Had Watford concentrated on getting a draw and not worry about what Hull were doing against Cardiff they would have gone up with a draw. Type Watford 1 Leeds 2 and you get the final day of the Championship highlights.
Has anyone else noticed that Doncaster Rovers were involved in the first 3 clips?
In 3 different divisions as well
jai sketchley u redssss
Jeff Stelling is truly a national treasure
The man city vs qpr match. They entire 2nd half was just beyond madness and off the charts with drama. Best writers in Hollywood couldn't write it.
0:45…The thrill of victory. 1:19…The agony of defeat
Love how you can hear the nervous/excited voice break from Jeff when asking Paul who's in
0:04 Caddis Late Equaliser 0:36 Jeff Hartlepool Heartbreak 1:48 Brentford Penalty Chaos 2:37 Leicester Penalty Disaster 4:07 Aguero Title Winner
I'm far from Merson biggest fan but when he said "They've got love bites" I laughed so hard 😂😂😂
I clearly remember the man city match I was finishing off a bowl of grandma's famous potato casserole
Sounds like a massive euphemism
walshygel2 blow away the cobwebs and you may indeed find a potato casserole lurking down there
Still breaks my heart sat at old Trafford celebrating then that happend
I was there in the etihad when it happened. One of the best moments ive ever witnessed
I'm a united fan and my dad is a city fan. that day on the 89th minute I saw we had won and city were 2-1 down. my dad changed to the news. my mum came back from her job at a supermarket and I told her what happened. I switched to the city vs QPR match and at that moment those dreaded words were screamed. AGUEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The Brentford v Doncaster game is a personal one for me as a Bournemouth fan. We were waiting on the pitch at Prenton Park getting ready to celebrate winning the league 1 title. Word comes through Brentford have a penalty, we’re all celebrating and then we hear Doncaster have scored and we’re like HOW??? We look at each other, we haven’t won the league, the air completely sucked out of us. Fast forward two years, we’re celebrating promotion at The Valley to the Premier League when Sheffield Wednesday score a penalty at Watford to give us the Championship title in injury time. Two injury time penalties in three years, neither of them in our own game, one scored, one missed, one gave the Cherries a league title and one took it away. Last day of the season football. Pure drama.
“Love bites and everything” 😂😂😂
What does that mean
Doncaster seem to be involved in a good few of these...
3:55 man's getting tackled - bottom right of the screen lol
2:47 chaos in dying seconds as Almunia saves the penalty and Moments later Troy Deeney scores to make it 3-1 watford
Thank you for you're service Jeff
The limbs in the Watford stand 😍
I once met Jeff Stelling in front of the Madjeski stadium in Reading where I was at University. Shook his hand, nice bloke. FA Cup replay - Reading vs Tottenham. We had front row seats although there was only one goal at the other end, scored by Spurs.
Sounds like a true reading perfromance
Thank you Aguero for one of the best football moments of recent years!
I am a utd fan and i get goosebumbs from that Aguero goal
the goal that lost you the league? traitor to your own team…
4:28 Man City's last two goals were scored so quickly that they haven't even got the goalscorers up on the graphic yet
Love at 3:47 you can see deeneys celebration in the bottom right corner
2:08 is not talked about enough, very underated
In your CV , you gotta have overwhelmingly HYPER 😂
Or in mersons case a cocaine habit
John Doherty I know right 😂
I'm not sure Jeff can ever be replaced. The man is a legend!
How is Jimmy Glass' goal for Carlisle not on this list?
1:16 "oh they scored :("
How Yeovil were in the Championship though 🤔😂
Aidy Gooner poor Yeovil
They had a quick downfall unfortunately
Blackburn won the premierleague
They had decent ish team tbh they were terrible in the championship 😂
@@owainh1347 back where they belong I say but I'm sure they enjoyed the ride and hosting all those big ex Prem teams. Would be nice to have teams like Stockport, Notts County, Wrexham etc back in the EFL.
Here's Hogg ...DEENEEEEEYYYYYYYY ......I still still got tears in my eyes just even thinking about that goal ....i was there that day . moments like that made us all crazy about football
I was there for Aguero goal. Absolutely. Amazing. Love seeing ALL of United, especially Michael Owen thinking he was going to get the league title, then their faces as they hear the news. Priceless.
You sound very bitter
You still havent won the ucl u oil crap
Raj so what are RB Leipzig then
@@rajyt4888 Neither have India
@@mc4240 He's literally just describing his experience.
Leicester vs Watford and QPR vs City. 2 of my favourite games.
“They got love bites ‘n’ everythin’!” 🤣🤣🤣
Everyone: no one can beat these moments Bristol rovers: hold my beer 🔵⚪️
As a Newport fan I absolute love everyone’s reaction to OB’s winner 🤣🤣they all went mental and they were so biased against us aswell 😂🔶🔶🔶
When soccer Saturday was worth watching and had characters and entertainment.
Now I have been waiting for a video like this my entire life - sky sports, keep up these top 5 vids please!!!!
😢😢😢 this is the soccer Saturday I miss 😢😢😢 Jeff and the boys
Jimmy Glass & Watford will always be my favourites!! =)
way funnier than the 'funniest moments in the premier league' video from yesterday. great video.
Four men doing a football commentary. So delightful to watch.
The aguero one killed me as a united fan but hearing the commentator of that game shout aguerro does give me goosebumps everytime imagine the adrenalin sergio was feeling gotta be like doin an eigth of raw in one blast
Merson back on the gargle 😂😂😂😂
They're all cuddling, love bites and everything Brilliant
Nothing NOTHING can top the “AGUEROOOOOOO” insane
The goosebumps!!!
We gonna miss you Jeff ❤️
Love how biased the pundits were towards newport 😂🔶
Yes I agree I've been saying the same thing for years
3:49 man lost all composure 😂🤯😂
Nothing creates high drama like football. Best sport in the world!
Forest and Swansea play off spot in 2019-2020 season was dramatic
I’m a Newcastle fan and my brother is a Man Utd fan I just came back home from work and aguero scored unbelievable commentary from Martin Tyler and my brothers face was priceless 😂😂
Zeeshan Ahmed a day where Sunderland and Newcastle fans were united together haha
3:46 this was the most calm reaction I’ve ever seen to this goal
Lmao Jeff “he has never scored”, then his look after haha
I knew theres MAN city v QPR before i watch this video . Iconic!
The deeny one is the most iconic
Who’s watching harry’s heros with paul merson and matt le tisser like this
I love how theyre just massive football fans. Just love situations like this and go mental
Funniest thing ever seeing Jeff face when hartlepool got relegated 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That is Life. There is a saying, those who Fight with a Sword,Die with a Sword.I love the Drama,it can happen to any Team.
Must be stressful being a Doncaster fan
Doncaster stress me out but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Soccer Saturday is always a must watch
Saturday's just aren't the same anymore
To think that Bolton got relegated on that day and are now in League 2.
I am a Brentford fan and it hurt seeing us lose to Doncaster
Sky needs this panel back
Nothing like football to bring out the passion 😆
People forget that a big part of the Leicester story was that "Deeneeeeeyyyy" moment against Watford. They probably wouldn't have won it if they had comr up that season.
The Watford goal is the best one, was justice for the Knockaert dive.
The Hull vs Watford promotion race deserves a spot in there. One of the best last day moments. Up there with Sergio Aguero''s goal against QPR and Doncaster's win against Brentford
The commentary on the playoff semifinal made reference to “it rivals the final day”; did Watford give up a penalty or a goal in stoppage time on the last day that season, otherwise they were promoted automatically?
@@2themoon863 it wasn’t close to the semi final but basically Watford needed 1 goal in the last 10 mins to get promoted instead of Hull but instead Leeds scored from a GK mistake and Hull ended up getting promoted
As amazing and crazy Knockaerts Deeneys was I feel it's taking a bit away from Trotta Coppingers. Both top 3 along with Aguerooooo
DEEEENEYYYYYYYY! What a moment!
Can't believe that Knockhaart/Watford match was so long ago!!
I remember Southend United in league two play off final
The bias in the Hartlepool one was incredible - and why we love the programme
Jeff looked so happy when its was 2-1
I miss football so much
im a brentford fan and i was at the game where trotta missed the penalty. absolute heartbreaking.
Where's Jimmy Glass?
Watch a clip of that now, seen Jeff more lively about a corner being given in the 32nd minute
you can make a longer video just from the last game of the season in the championship this season, has to have been the craziest, well since Leeds were promoted back into the championship anyway. So many teams on the line final game.
Allen back in alley. FIFA legend.
Cant wait for everything to go back to normal
I miss the beautiful game :((
Aguerooooooooo will always be my favourite! Despite I am a Liverpool fan, I was jumping up and down when City did score against QPR
God.I love this game
3:50 watch the bottom right corner of the screen. Fan celebrates as steward slowly subdues him hahaha
Ooooooo shadow strikers first. Well done pal
The Brentford penalty was just a dress rehearsal for the Watford v Leicester game. I’m a Watford fan and that game is known the world over. Each time I meet someone new and mention that I’m a Watford fan, THIS is the first game they mention.
One of the best moments that I witnessed was Watford vs Leicester where Deeney scored to make it 3-1
