Derrick Rose - Windy City Assassin

2018 ж. 22 Ақп.
3 701 172 Рет қаралды

Derrick Rose, the Windy City Assassin. Until injury derailed his career, he appeared like the heir apparent to Michael Jordan. Glinding around the basketball court, he flew through the air, slamming, scoring, and dominating the league. He won rookie of the year, he won an MVP...he was the favorite son of Chicago, and an absolute beast in the clutch. Relive the moments that made him legend, the dunks, the blocks, the assists, the game winners, buzzer beaters, and everything in between.

He wasn’t even hitting his full stride and at his full potential in my opinion and he won MVP. If Rose never had injuries he’d be the top PG in the league today. He was unstoppable. And he was a good defender. And he was super clutch. But LeBron and MJ can always carry a team. It’s so sad to see his career turn out the way it is. He was one of my favorite PG’s to watch of all time.

  • Guys, notice how he lands on one leg every time. It causes your entire weight to transfer onto one knee instead of two, and over the course of an entire season this kind of stress on your knees cant be mainttained. If only one of the trainers couldve caught on to this bad habit.

Edit; Man I’d love to watch a D Rose highlight/homage without seeing the “Holding his knee and down” clip. Shit gets me sad every time.

  • 3 things 1 - Your videos are amazing. You have your own recognizable style, which is not easy too do. Gotta say I love your work. 2 - Lebron never had his true match-up in the East because D-Rose was hurt. The Bulls would've been the team to truly push them in the East year in and year out. I don't know if the Bulls would've ever won, but I bet Lebron doesn't go to 7 straight NBA finals if a healthy D-Rose was in the East all those years. 3 - The CITY bailed on Rose when he kept getting hurt. It wasn't just the team. The media here in Chicago (I live in Chicago), and a large amount of the fan base was MAD at Rose for getting hurt and taking the money. I can't tell you how many people thought that he was not as hurt as he said, or that he was trying to basically steal money from the team by playing as little as possible. The fans were turning on D-Rose before he was even out the door. D-Rose was from this city, and I think it was pretty classless how many people here hated on him the way they did. I know to this day he still has a large amount of people who love and support him, and I still see his jersey in the streets, but the venom coming out of people when it was going down was pretty startling.
