@@WillArchy For starters he could have tried to implement a more possessioned based style of play. Instead he has tried to further develop United as a counter atttacking team. When we now are playing teams that we on paper should demolish we are often played off the park or at least comfortably betaen. We are not able to dominate or outplay any team.

The only reasonable excuse to keep ETH is to stop the tradition of sacking managers - that’s can’t be your reason to want to keep a manager because of past mistakes, this guy ain’t it it’s so obvious. If anyone can provide a reason beyond playing some youth I’d love to hear it.

Ten Hags tactics not working from the first game of the season yet he refuses to change, massive holes in midfield in every game ,so much separation between midfield and defence this will never work in premier league.
There is even more separation between player with ball at half way line and next nearest player to receive a forward pass. No structure to pass the ball around and keep possession or no structure to pass and move the ball forward. There is some structure from defence to midfield. From midfield, usually there is no one between half line and opposition box. The midfielder in our half way line rarely have any passing option and tries long pass that gets intercepted or goes out of play
I don't understand the obsession with Ten Hag,, it's not like we're losing while playing great football, no progress at all since we last Played Burnley.. All the big Clubs Liverpool, Bayern and Barcelona have already made a move we need a decision on Ten Hag fast.

Shaw Martinez Varane coming back will make an enormous impact. Our attackers aren't pass and move ballers. Garnacho and Bruno are selfish and try too hard. Antony and Hojlund are unselfish and play for the team
Was lucky to be at the game against Sheffield mid-week and this game today. I thought the Sheffield game wasn’t great, but at least we found the net 4 times. But this game was just even worse. I was nearly asleep at half time. The crowd again was very very quiet, even the Stretford end. It was just dreadful to watch. It’s like we don’t know what to do at times. The players, to me, looked a bit knackered. Subs were baffling. And yet…we did get a lot of chances…and we should have finished those chances. Imagine what we’d be like if we actually played well!!

I really don’t understand how people are still trying to defend ETH. Yes we fired a lot of managers previously but if a manager is not doing his job he should be replaced. Ineos is in charge of the football operations and are bringing in experts so it shouldn’t be my job to pick the next manager. But I can see that this manager is playing a guessing game even with substitutes and has no strategy. He is throwing the dice and the team with all international superstars is struggling against relegation fodder.

The team kicks the ball away from our half way line when under pressure and tries to pass the ball instead of clearing near our penalty box. All the so called chances created have maximum two passes between our half way line and getting a shot away. If the long ball isnt intercepted and we manage to get a shot away or the long ball reaches the opposition penalty box, Ten Hag seems to consider them as chances.

Henry talked about how Wenger told him if you want to receive more balls think about how your team mates play and their abilities. Hojlund should make certain runs for Bruno as he prefers through passes and long passes behind defenders. He should do something else for Garnacho and so on for Anthony and Rashford. He honestly has low IQ and he needs top level coaching, analysis and one on one sessions to improve his game. Actually, all Utd players need that 😅

I disagree the critics on Amrabat sub. At that moment Mctominay was on and he is more an attacking midfielder so for balancing the midfield I understand why Amrabat was prioritised before Mason Mount. Amrabat is also more a no-nonsense defensive midfielder who can keep more possession than Mason Mount for the balance in midfield I do think that is sensible.

The problem is not in a single player. There is no structure to move the ball forward beyond our half way line if the opposition keeps shape. There is no structure to keep the possession under pressure. We just kick the ball away from midfield when under pressure and starts chasing the ball.

The two aren't particularly mutually exclusive. Villa were playing HORRIDLY under Gerrard and looked for all intents and purposes, relegation fodder. What happens next? The bum Gerrard is dismissed and in steps a competent manager and all of a sudden most of those underperforming players look brilliant. The same could happen to you. Just get rid of ETH and a couple of your players, particularly Fernandes and Rashford, and you will be a much better team

I would say work ethic without the ball has improved in terms of pressing from front. There is also some structure in moving the ball from defence to our halfway line. Beyond that there is no improvement. We don't have any sort of structure to keep the ball moving beyond our half except for hopeful long balls.

A part from a few players, there is not enough fight in these players. If they were boxers, they would be classed as journeyman boxers. Only there for the paycheck. Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard enough. Tactics is hardwork, winning the first and second ball is hard work, being physical is hard work, keeping focus for the whole game is hard work, keeping mentally strong until the final whistle is hard work, never throwing in the towel is hard work, tracking your man is hard work, cutting out danger is hard work, pressing for the whole game is hard work, always trying to make the right decision on the pitch and not being selfish is hard work. I can go on and on. How many players do a few of these at United. Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal players do all of these or they get moved on.

I am in the Philippines, so I do not watch this until the next morning. I watch ETH and I think he is a comedians dream. I am sure many of the players just don't understand him! He has a multi-cultural dressing room, and who know what their English ability is like, so to try and receive instructions from a coach who can barely speak good English himself is setting themselves up for failure.
