Congrats, Matt! Fantastic decision on getting a 3d printer! 😃 I don't own one yet, but I definitely want to get one! (And there are some on my radar, but it's all going to depend on my budget at the time. 😬) Either way, look for useful prints as well! There are lots of free models out there for tools, organization gadgets of all kinds and so on... You're definitely going to have a lot of fun with it! 😃 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Hi, Matt. I've been using my printer to make a few shop accessories and lathe fixtures. What software are you using to design your molds? I’m just using Tinkercad.

- I'm using FreeCad at the moment, I've tried fusion 360 a couple of times and just don't seem to click with it. Within 10 minutes of using FreeCad I was able to make all the basic shapes I want, I'm sure you can do much more with it but for now it's perfect for my needs.

Затраты при печати перекрывают экономию смолы? Смола нынче дорогая, печать явно дешевле.

- Printing costs are cheap in comparison to resin, especially lost resin

- You can find filament from lots of different brands and prices, it's definitely worth it. And for something like this you really don't need anything better than PLA, which is the cheapest filament I believe. 😊

- @@MCsCreations согласен, по совокупности свойств PLA filament самый лучший выбор) но стоимость печати не только же и стоимости филамента состоит. По моим предположениям принтер окупит свою стоимость при экономии 60л эпоксидной смолы. Но! Мы же не только из-за бизнеса его покупаем, но и для души) по этому себестоимость не важна)
