Mastering Fighting Ranges: Techniques for Every Distance in Boxing
Complete training program for boxers - koboxingpackage.weblium.site
There are four different distances in boxing:
1. Safe: Where you can't be reached. You can do whatever you want there.
2. Long: Where you can reach your opponent with your fully extended hand. Move in and out with pendulum or regular steps. Use mostly footwork and hands for defense. Throw long-range punches (lead hook, lead uppercut, jab, cross).
3. Middle: Where you can reach your opponent with any punch. Plant your feet, stay wider, and keep your hands closer. Move your head and feet at all times to avoid getting hit. Use all types of defensive moves at this range. Throw all punches, but never stay at this distance for too long. Move back, to the sides, or closer to your opponent, but don’t keep your head at one spot for more than a split second.
4. Short (close): Where you stay head to head with your opponent. Plant your feet, stay almost frontal, move your head to the sides, and rotate your shoulders. Use head movement and hands for defense. Throw hooks and uppercuts.

The goat 🐐
Not yet the goat but I am going there
What should I do when I am fighting someone who likes to close distance and pressure me. Im newer to sparring and struggle with close-mid range when its harder to see and react to punches. I like to be more long range and counter after slips and footwork
Stay calm: Don't panic, stay focused. Use your jab: Keep them away with your jab. Move sideways: Step to the side to avoid their attacks. Block punches: Keep your hands up to protect yourself. Look for chances to hit back: Wait for openings to counter. Hold them close: If they get too close, clinch to stop their attacks. Meet them hard: find the right moment to hit them hard to make them back off. Go to the body: body shots can reduce their pace and slow them down
