I can say that the midfield trio of both teams are way better than that of team nowadays. Lampard, Ballack and Essien. Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano. Even Man city's current trio may not be able to out-start these. All i see is a combination of technique, shooting, strength, tenacity and goals in these ( Lampard, Ballack and Essien. Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano), they are that great.

@@seanlinesteammvg4967 Chelsea have the money unlike us they have a Russian owner with oil money , did they do well in the champions league before Abramovich. Chelsea were a mediocre side like man city before the oil the fact that rangers that we made it to the round of 16 back in 2005 when we had less money than our competitors was a big achievement. For a stint , the Scottish League was better than the English first division in the 80s but when all the money came to England obviously you lot improved .
