Woodturning - Expensive Wooden Sandwich

Welcome to my captivating woodturning video, where I will transform wenge, purple heart and Australian mallee burl wood into a functional work of art on my woodturning lathe.
In this mesmerizing video, you'll witness the transformation of raw materials into a breathtaking wooden vase.
To enhance the natural beauty of the wood, I applied several coats of natural oil that not only brings out the richness of the grain but also provides long-lasting protection. This ensures that your wooden vase remains in pristine condition for years to come.
Sand the vase up to 400 grit, ensuring a smooth surface that feels as good as it looks.

  • It was fun to see "plain old" wood turning as an offset to your resin work. Beautiful vase.

  • Apart from the stunning pieces you make, one of the things I most appreciate about your videos is that you just get on with creating, without all the stopping and starting, chatter etc

  • Do you do resin work? With such expensive materials it would be a shame for them to go to waste. They would be beautiful in a resin form.
