I used to have this impression of Scar as someone who panics under stress and is easily targeted and falls for traps but MAN oh man Scar has become an absolute champ. The way he defended against Gem at the start, shooting that button from a distance then dealing so much damage to Gem, he was GREAT under pressure there. That MCC training and hOtGuY has really forged Scar! Also the guy had probably the most kills this session!

The fact that Scar managed to pretty much complete his first task before getting infected is impressive.
And the fact he burned the book causing them to need an admin re-load of it, and pulled that shot off against his team's "leader", means he still completed the task even afterwards, too!
I mean it's not hard being annoying, I'm more impressed with everyone's patience with him tbh

Scar’s tasks really doesn’t want him to have friends. When Grian asked to team up, Scar had to do the opposite what people said. Now when Scar declares to make allies, his task requires him to do the opposite.
They want him to stop relying on other people to get so far

Gem truly was cursed this episode. I am guessing she targeted Scar early on thinking he would be a quick way for her to get the ball rolling -- only to find out that villain Scar fights back hard. And even when she finally bests him, his stray arrow finally finishes the deed.
She targeted him specifically because he was saying the entire last episode "I wanna be unhinged", and figured he'd be the least upset about suddenly having to kill the whole server
@@stephenkrahling1634 She just very unfortunately chose perhaps the most stacked person at the start of this session first. Scar managed to get amazing enchants last session and it really shows how much that paid off by how long he survived the onslaught. And it's particularly funny that while scar has a reputation for dying silly deaths, he's also really _really_ dangerous if you give him a bow.
@@WhatIsMyPorpoise No it's mostly just the fact that he's actively trying to kill her there, which Gem unfortunately took several shots just trying to come out. It helps when everyone is playing by the same rules but him Nobody on the server would pin a yellow name in their home as a green name, and wait for them to come out so they can shoot them. He was also just taking free shots at people throughout the episode before it was even clear they were attacking him We could say it was his task, but he does it all the time even outside this episode. Limited life was full of it

Scar from Larry the Snail times of Hermitcraft season 7 during Grian's Zombie prank compared to now is such a ridiculous dichotomy. He went from dying to zombies a bunch of times to fighting off multiple players and surviving targeted assaults. HotGuy needs to team up with PoultryMan and film an absolute banger of an episode.

Scar being the villain by digging up dead bodies and burning down charities, yet still telling people he appreciated them and running away from his murderers like a frightened child is DEFINITELY what I needed to see today 😆 🤣 I'm so proud he's lasted this long

I‘m so incredibly impressed with Scar! You know the first few seasons where Scar would die every five seconds and was the „easiest“ target on the server. But since HotGuy came to existence he literally got incredibly overpowered! He is now one of the best fighters and without a doubt the best archer on the entire server! I‘m so proud to have witnesses this transformation over the years 😂

I think its fairly obvious that due to the fact there are several green names still on the server during episode 7 that the boogeyman task was made purely to wipe them out.
i was thinking something needed to be done so the series doesn’t go on for 20 episodes
I heard someone call it the "this series was more survivable than we thought" task.
@@katherinec2759 which is honestly ridiculous cos if they seriously thought having 30 hearts was not going to make them last this long then wow. Honestly. Wow. Yes, you don't regen health but you can gain 10 hearts an episode for completing a task. That's the same as a whole life in normal Minecraft. You could take 10 hearts of damage every episode and as long as you complete your task, you're basically immortal. They needed to add a punishment for not completing a normal task. It's just too easy. After getting feather falling, fall damage is kinda non-existant. And even the reds can't kill whoever they like anymore so even less deaths without this task. Even Grian/Etho's task the previous session was to get this same effect it just killed the wrong people.
I find it hilarious that scar is so well known for constantly dying, yet he always manages to make survive longer than other players in the life series
Honestly I'm kinda rooting for him to win this one, his attacks this session were insane! Although with the number of reds that want to kill him it's probably not happening

The fight scene between Scar and Gem is so incredibly intense! Scar literally turned into HotGuy within seconds, literal chills 😂

I'm very impressed with Scar's villainy, we went from the childish spite of burning things people want, to grave robbing bodies to hold to ransom with loved ones in seconds
The Gem kill was hilarious. If her task was to bring everyone down a life it’s only fitting she lose at least one life in the attempt even if it was completely unintentional.
Gem being like "you have god awful aim" while scar's been hitting pretty much all his shots this episode and she totally jumped in front of him is so ironic

Quite villainous he was indeed. And thanks to the boogie curse, everyone except Martyn and Grian died at least once, which means there are no more green lives left. Cleo accidentally killed herself, though.
I think you can attribute the kill to Scar. Doesn't change the task since Grian and Scott both lived, but him slicing Cleo, from her perspective, made her down the hearts that made her just barely unable to get up for air and drown. She had an open air spot above her, half a heart would have had her live, and she was fleeing from him and his active attack damage.
Their video said that they couldn’t see anything so they probably would have still drowned on full hearts
@@falsnamae3511 Thing is I’m pretty sure if Scar *did* get a hit on her, when she died it would’ve said something like “Cleo drowned trying to escape Scar” or even just “Cleo was slain by Scar” if it was the killing blow
@@falsnamae3511 Not really, if anyone killed her it was Joel as he brought her down to the four hearts she was at when she drowned (if she had another 1 or 2 she probably would have survived at least the drowning) but that happened like 20 mins before so... no
@@falsnamae3511 i don't think they hit her during that fight. earlier in the session they did, but it had been a while so it really doesn't count. she was lost in the water and it was dark, i think she would've been down either way. cleo said in the chat that they didn't get a hit on her

Gem actually did a really good job leading this merry band of boogie. Effective, stern and really kept the group together.

The way Scar took revenge for his murder by burning the book, and when he accidentally shot Gem had me dying laughing lol Martyn was definitely an MVP this episode!
Fun to see the Bad Dog Martyn be the semi-savior. "Need a horse?", "I'll distract them.", and from other perspectives, warning the non-zombies of approaches since they weren't targeting him. Scott even had him in his base for a bit, with a "oh, don't worry about him."

Task Idea: you can speak to dead players, but nobody else can hear them. You can use this for whatever you like, but if anyone calls you out, you fail the task

@@teresar6348 well since the ghosts would be talking to you, just ignoring them would be hard and also there are benefits of being able to talk to them (such as telling one to spy on someone for you) that would make it so that it’s really a better Idea to risk it and actually talk to them. If it really needed to though, the task could be edited to make it clear that you’re basically required to talk to them to a certain degree, kind of like the imaginary friend task but your friend isn’t imaginary

Having the benefit of hindsight, I would agree with scars logic. The instructions were to show him the book after killing him. He burned the book thus they didn't show it to him. So his original task was still in play. In my heart he succeeded. Great episode.

I love how his task barely changed after he got cursed.
I feel like they felt obligated to make this series more similar to other ones, with more fighting. I could argue this one is better, and more fun, as the social tasks and chaos that comes with it create a unique experience that is just as engaging and tense while lasting longer.
They’re probably trying to wrap it up with the holidays around the corner
