I was going to say the same. I thought he learned a couple of words for his video, but his fluency with the language really shocked me, I've been 10 years in England and he speaks better mandarin than I speak english.
Foreigner's Chinese couldn't convince the Chinese lady. Hey Adam, as much as you can speak Chinese, you must first and foremost learn to say "Xu Xin" and "Chen Meng" correctly.

Hello everyone! I play tennis and I have a question about table tennis. When Adam is far back and hits A lob why do people hit the ball so hard back to him? Why don’t they drop shot him (hit the ball short with backspin) so he has to run for the ball? Wouldn’t it be more effective to hit a short ball while he’s back as opposed to hitting it really hard and directly to him?
Imagine when your tennis opponent lob very high and deep to the bottom line, can you drop shot him? Same thing with table tennis. People do drop shot lobs, you need perfect timing and extraordinary skill, and the lob falls a little closer to the net. Search Ma Lin vs Maze 2007, the classic drop shot vs lob in table tennis
@Kevin Lin Thanks for your reply, in tennis if the ball was lobbed you might back up, take the ball as an over head, or try to hit it back...etc . But if I was up at the net and a lob came to me sometimes i just block it over the net. I figured if the net clearance isn’t to much of an issue could one maybe just block it over with some slice (assuming they are back far enough)?
@@discostu4275 You just reminded me another good reason why there is less drop shot in table tennis: there is no volley, you have to wait for the bounce !!!

I live in Taipei (moved there because I wanted to learn Mandarin and thought it would be much more feasible to learn if I surrounded myself with opportunities to hear it and use it daily). I still have a long way to go... but with the encouragement, patience and kindness of my friends and other random people in Taiwan, it has taken time but I can definitely notice the progress. Thanks for your kind words and I hope/plan to make more progress over time. Man man lai. 8>)
