Table tennis is such a nice community game. I know of a couple of spots in Berlin, where strangers are very welcome to join and play, no matter the skill level. Good way to meet new people and comparatively pandemic safe outside :)

Schierker Platz (next to the small not big playground) I can add...Böhmischer Platz is very great aswell as already mentioned several tables along the canal in NK
Table tennis has a much less toxic community than the tennis community, I know as an active participant in both

I would love to see you try out VR table tennis (Eleven Table Tennis) and share your opinions on it compared to real life, there are even controller adapters meant to simulate the weight, shape, and feel of a real paddle (Sanlaki seems best).

I'm not a really good player but I think you should absorb the power by blocking or spinning. A block will work for you. Sharpen your reflexes and do not hit the ball too hard
