I couldn't make out what type of creature was sparring with what I thought was a fox on my first viewing - and it made me think of my favorite mythological creature, the Griffin. Subsequent viewings showed that it was a wolf against an eagle - mighty big eagle. I could see where our distant ancestors imagined a creature with the head of an eagle and the body of a lion - and wings. Mighty formidable!

Eagles primary advantage against a wolf is flight. If it doesnt get up from the ground that wolf is gonna come back and eat it. Still, it is cool that the eagle managed to hold its own on the ground for a little bit. I can imagine why this is such a short clip though.
