love your work. One helpful tip, when turning your logs have your stops angled in so the wood slides down onto the bed instead of getting stuck on the point.

That’s some nice beefy slabs. A bit cracked near the ends, but it’s great to see in your other videos how you make the cracks a feature of your work rather than get rid of the cracked wood. Sometimes the rustic look is just the thing.

Yes, my name is Dusty 👍. When I use reclaimed barnwood or retired telephone poles they're ready to go as they've been drying for 30+ years. Green wood like in this video needs to dry to less than 12% moisture content

Wood(meant to do that) you mind sharing where you source your wood? Your videos are epic. All your projects appear to be out a wood specie similar to timber frame wood. In Ohio it’s Douglas Fir or Red Oak. Great stuff sir.
