    • I also think it was intentional to be covert. He laces the floor with pills on purpose, then floods his system with it. Afterwards on the news they say he died of an overdose and I’m assuming they suspect he had something to do with killing his own men. This leaving a natural conclusion for those in the village to make where Denzel didn’t want to be known as the killer when he’s been the peaceful man all along.

      @zSamuellz@zSamuellz6 ай бұрын
    • @@zSamuellz They know he isn't a peaceful man. There was the scene in restaurant where he used pain compliance on the bosses brother. He also admits to killing the brother. Then he comes out of the shadows with two pistols. They know he is not a peaceful man. He is their protector. That is why they stand up for him in the end.

He was surrounded by the people he didn't care about, at his weakest and most desperate, literally dying, with nobody to mourn or even care about him. He was just another corpse in the street, like all the others-killed by the drugs that he sold to his people. Brought down from the highest position to become literally nothing but garbage. McCall wanted to make sure he died there in front of the people.

Not only that but, he's sort of like death personified, he enjoys life to the fullest but takes lives when he has to. • @karlwithak. sad that you feel that. From a number of the interviews and the like, apparently Denzel was willing to break his long-standing “I don’t do sequels” rule for this particular movie set. He (and the other folk involved) were passionate enough about this story-line that they all pretty much really wanted to continue it. Something, maybe, to take into consideration. And for this movie in particular, there is the familiar dynamic from Man on Fire between the two actors, that makes the ease of their interaction delightful.
