If you have a Samsung phone, you can transfer your data using Samsung Smart Switch. It's a feature built into the phone found under the Accounts and Backup settings. It displays Bring data from old device

I did the data transfer wirelessly, and the applications didn't transfer along with the saved data, but simply reinstalled

Recently got a Galaxy A13 ,it came with a charger and cable. I must be one of the few lucky ones it seems 😬 cause everyone said it doesn’t come with those two items. It was $140 so I said , I’ll give this phone a go anyway. Everything fine so far .
Hey would it take every single app I mean it ask every single app that u want to transfer right ??? like Readera cuz I have downloaded books in it it's a huge space for storing pdf with no restrictions about space.

I could not make out what you said concerning copying WhatsApp and all the data and photo/videos. How do you copy all of WhatsApp to the new phone? Is there a copy app that can copy all data from one phone to another? My old phone has many apps on an external SDcard not the internal storage. Is this method going to copy from the SD card as well?

Spent £1600 on a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, no charger and no audio jack and no micro sd card storage and it records in 8K where is the sense in that? base model is 128GB phone will be full in no time.

Not all of them. My Asus ROG 5s came with a 65W charger, 12GB/512GB, and audio jack all for $1000 USD. They are hard to find. I got lucky for a change.

how to transfer albums from android to android while keeping the same order? phtos on old phone are distributed onto mobile storage and sd-card, whereas the new phone has only an internal storage (as you've mentioned in your notice for the new phones nowadays).. Thanx in Advance
Even if you opt to transfer your apps it does NOT transfer the data. I work IT for a bank and I get calls all of the time for people that have upgraded their phones either by choice or necessity for the Microsoft Intune or the PING ID authenticator. Just because the app transferred does not mean your password and other data did. I end up having to verify the caller's identity and having to remove the old device from the console and having them register again or for MS Intune I have to send a request to the security department.
Yeah, some apps like whatsapp won't copy everything.
Is there a way to copy from one android device so the new devices screen layout is the exact same as the copied device?
Just to clarify, the old phone needs to be booted up with the SIM card first to do this process and the new phone just turned on. The SIM card is removed from the old phone while it is on and inserted into the new phone while it is on. When the process is completed the new phone will function as if it were the old phone, right. Would I be getting alert messages that an unknown device is trying to log into my accounts etc. Do I need to resetup authentication apps. Please advise
"The SIM card is removed from the old phone while it is on" - That could be tricky as I have to remove my phones battery to get the sim card out (Galaxy Note 4). Maybe the phone will work plugged into the mains without a battery?

That was funny what you said, you don't get "a charger with the phone nowadays" which reminded me how in the old days you book your flight and just GO. Now if you've extra baggage you got to pay, you need an extra blanket you need to pay, and while you're being cramped even more you would have to pay for any services even rebooking your flight 😅

Hey Britec09 I have an old android that is not in use, however I use it on wifi to listed to my downloaded music. I also have a new android that is not activated nor do I want to activate it. Is there a way to transfer my downloaded music from old (non working android on wifi only) to the new android not activated??? the app that I use to listed to my downloaded music is the Music app (blue app with a music note). Any suggestions?
When moving apps over do you have to do anything different for the Google authenticator? Thats the only thing I'm worried about

Does the transfer include game data. Would you still retain levels you obtained on your previous phone ?.
I could not say for all games, you could backup your games folder to be 100% sure.
ehm... maybe a dumb question but I have some very old apps on my also very old phone I want to keep for my new phone cause Im quite used to em, some of them are not in the AppStore or else anymore - so can I transfer them too and is there a way to keep safefiles for the game apps? My first time ever doing something like that bcs. usually I keep my old phone for years until it breaks and only than I get me a new one, but this time Im lucky to have a very durable phone that survived for so long. So for the first time I have the luxury to keep all the stuff and can even afford to transfer garbage since I got 4x as much space on the new one😋
My phones (both Android 9) did not ask to do any of this. All I could do is add my Google account to the new phone and the only thing that carried over is my contacts. Messages didn't carry over and it is not asking me to copy my apps over. Any idea why?

Needed a tutorial for the transfer AFTER the new phone has been set up. Like when you've selected 'remind me later'. Why is that option or help so hard to find?

What cable did you use. Not explained. Mine has Type C on one side and standard usb on the other ? Also how to transfer it via wifi if u have not got the correct cable. Is this done via Bluetooth and what is no Sim in old ph ??
Um, you use a cable that plugs into both phones. Is that not apparent? Wifi is not covered here because he uses a cable. Is that not apparent? PS This isn't a Help Desk.
Have my old phone, which has broken screen, so I can't get into it, however it still powers up. Tried to transfer info to new phone. It would not let me do it. I tried every way - wireless, cable, file transfer, etc. I even had my cell company on the line the whole time. It did however move most of my contacts, not all and some of my messages - none of my apps or cloud or pics will transfer even though I had them synced on google. I don't understand. I'm going from same cell company with same model phone but nothing will transfer. I've never had this problem before. I've had 6 phones in the past 10 years and I could always transfer, even with some phones being lost or completely broken and even moving to different cellular companies. I'm wondering if i should do a factory reset on my new phone and try again. Thanks for video. New sub here!

Smart Switch is built-in so won't give me any other option but does not work as it won't connect even though both old and new phones are connected to the same network, so I can't transfer my data

This presentation is really good and also I like the way, you being do , but how you can do that to transfer your stuff to new phone so, you take out the memory card out to put it the new one you have or either wise you just put the new memory card one new phone to send your contact and also your items too so, I want you to explain me that 💕👍🙏👌
Anything on the 'old tech' memory card is ignored. You have to copy the card contents to a computer first, then computer to new phone later. This video is phone to phone, not phone+extra-storage to phone.

What cable is that your using to do the transfer?
I believe it's a type C male-to-male cable. It goes into the type C port on each phone.

Nop. Will move only the app, but you have to re-register it, as a new freshly installed app.

First.... Do every update available, then do HARD RESET from recovery! Copy data from old phone to laptop/PC and copy only you need...

With a phone that's otherwise been set up,. how do I transfer all my old SMS messages on phone A to phone B without the malarkey of downloading an app to do it? I *cannot* believe it's nigh-on impossible to do it with what's currently available. Google are the masters of convolution and hassle.
Since Google Photos/Videos are backed up in the Google Cloud, their is no need to store on your phone taking up space

Transferring everything from a Huawei p30 pro to Oppo Find X5 Pro. I have a good few passwords saved in my Google passwords but some app(Instagram, Facebook etc) that I don't have passwords saved. I have been always logged in on old phone for ages. Is there a way to clone the old phone onto the new phone that will auto transfer passwords too?? I could go in individually and use forgot passwords but I'm lazy and want a quick way to do it. Anyone got any suggestions please??
