Can you rebind the dpi button? I wanna make it crotch for Wrecking ball in Overwatch. Cause that seems ideal for slamming and booping people.
@@420flinttown except its not. the synapse 3 is good, not to mention the chroma studio is one of the best in the market.
Just bought mine, I was having a rough time deciding between this and the essential version. In the end, the two sized clutchs, the custom scroll wheel and the higher durability made the trick.

*NOTE* for fellow G502 addicts who love the shape there are some subtle differences between the basilisk and G502 that do make it feel different, you can adjust and it does eventually feel almost the same however its not quite 100%. So here are the following changes from the G502 to the basilisk: The basilisk's hump tapers in from the thumb wrest and because the base of your thumb isn't being pushed out further your thumb lays flatter in the thumb wrest causing you to accidentally miss-click the side buttons, also the side buttons themselves aren't tapered up like the G502 which exacerbates the issue. When using the Basilisk make sure to keep your thumb just behind the sniper clutch and you'll be fine :) Also, the ledge for your ring/pinky finger goes out further on the G502 which assists with grip and comfort, the basilisk isn't uncomfortable by any stretch however I do find that my ring finger rests more on the top of the mouse closer to RMB then it does to the side like the G502. *Also also* RMB and LMB do not go as far out on the Basilisk meaning that your fingers are more likely to overhang the mouse. (yes I have big hands *cries in 21.8cm* )

As a g502 user who hasn't tried the basilisk, I would be upset to find out that the DPI switch button is now hard to reach, cuz I really love the DPI button placements for the g502. I also love how fast you can switch from regular scrolling to ultra fast scrolling. The only criticism I have for the g502 is that the sniper button is rather hard to press cuz it's far, and it makes you exert more effort than just attempting to aim without the sniper button, that, or I just have tiny hands.

My first and only choice in 2020 due to it being on sale for 39.99 and my mouse budget was $50, so this works perfectly. I appreciate your very informative review! Helped solidify my confidence in using this to game in a couple of days. Ive been playing on console since I was very young and I will be switching to PC this month and I am so excited. Well I main Hammond on Overwatch and I've been using an MMO mouse, I already see the use for that one side button, I'm going to map it to crotch so basically my slam button for Hammond.

How has the slamming been? or if its been a while since you used this mouse, could you possibly tell me how you felt when you would use that ability? Pulling the clutch to slam the whole team, prepping them for a combo... I bet that felt really comfortable with this mouse. damn, I cant wait to use mine for that. Good idea!
The mouse in my opinion works well with my HP Omen 15 laptop. It’s very comfortable and I like how the lights (both the Razer logo and the light on the scroller wheel) change different colors of the rainbow. Sadly on my HP Omen 15 laptop, I can’t make the keyboard do the colors of the rainbow, however at least I can change the colors of the lights on the keyboard. For my laptop, I just did Green for the W, A, S, and D keys, Purple for the rest of the letters and the Caps Lock Key, Escape Key, and the F Function Keys, and Red for the Number Pad, Num Lock Keys and the Arrow Keys, because all 3 of those colors represents my Pony character (which is on my profile picture as you can see).

This video may be 2 years old, but I need a new mouse, and this review helped a lot. Currently using my almost 8 year old Naga Hex, and the left click is either double clicking or not clicking at all, super annoying.

Mouse looks and feels great, any other comments on the software? I've been hearing many negative things about Synapse (eg. takes up a lot of RAM and sends your usage data online, doesn't actually save certain settings such as polling rate, lighting configs and macros to the onboard memory and instead needs to be constantly running to work properly). It's probably one of the few things that's holding me back from getting this mouse.

Hi Galvin, but I feel that I am a victim of this mouse. The synapse 3 is really bad and macro really badly written The precision (final 10 pixel movements felling is not quite smooth) compare to my previous logitech G3, do you have similar feeling?

How can I configure the clutch to make it for crouching or something I can't seem to get it working through Synapse.
Try to use the Synapse 2 if v3 is buggy, another option is remap via in game settings.
Cristian Quizhpilema hey, I just did this the other day. You want to go into the settings and click the sniper button and when it's highlighted go into macro. When you're in the macro, you hit add, you want to add a keystroke. Choose a random letter and you're good to go. Then go into the game you're playing and that button will now be set to that keystroke and will let you set it as whatever you want. Hope this helps.

I love this mouse except for the grip. The grip is way too slippery and the grip is coming off. I pre-ordered it and it was good for the first year. Then it got "worn out" and i switched back to my g502. Now im thinking of upgrading to the g520 hero.

okay so i like this mouse. i have big hands so my thumb is not scraping along in my claw grip style i play with . however ! i now prefer the basic basilisk as in a few days i found it far better than most . it has a clutch but no dpi on the fly change . which is an improvement in my humble opinion . when i play i am usually the top player or the guy with the most kills .or in the top 3 . muscle memory has more to do with it too but as for mice . this is a good one . no fuss and now less expensive . why ? the click function breaks on most razer mice either left or right click always breaks on all 7 razer mice i have used . so im cheaping out on a good design for price here . my highest kill count 1743 . no joke . no boasting or puffing out my manly chest here , just plain facts the mouse is good if you adjust to it . also the best mouse i still own but harder to get a hold off these days is the logitech g400 . i swear by it ! As a big hand guy with a claw grip and many sad faces behind me . i also encourage anyone not to forget the awesome deathadder chroma . my secret weapon in multiplayer games when things are just not going my way i swap to this older 2013 beast .to really win the game if it is important to me or my team at pcg . sure logitech have decent products but they are basic good products . i know ive tried every mouse on the market every keyboard i can find to improve my game and i settle on this combo razer deathadder keyboard older but softmechnical keys . headset a razer headset most are 40 mm drivers anyway . i use the 7.1 occasionally but prefer windows sonic for headphones .A seriously under rated option in win 10 pro as it is almost the same and less taxing on my pc . i know who would have thought it mattered but it really does people of the master pc race . kind regards .

Such a great mouse. It's arriving for me Tuesday! I hope it fixes my aim on games like PUBG and Fortnite, considering the fact that my current mouse skips around a whole bunch of pixels.
Remember to use lower dpi for better aiming :)

I have this issue where when ever in playing fortnite (with mouse and keyboard I want to practice even if I’m a console player) So when ever I’m randomly playing games my mouse sensitivity just changes by itself so it changes from too slow or too fast is there a solution to this problem? It’s really annoying
Use Razer synapse to rebind the keys, there is no Auto change of DPI unless you press something

Basilisk is actually a green reptile. First i encountered this name is in Castlevania, There is a dagger there named after this creature as well the basilisk dagger, that stabs target really fast.
