Mastering NDB Approach | In-Depth Tutorial | A320 Family

Join us in Cologne / EDDK as we explore the NDB Approach, a non precision approach that you may fly in your screening to become an airline Pilot!
We'll go over all the fine detail that you'll need to fly a NDB approach on your own.
Throughout the flight, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of the various checklists and procedures involved. From monitoring instruments and systems to managing the aircraft's performance.
For this video we went back in the Airbus A320 full flight simulator to show you how it's done in the Cockpit.
As an Airbus A330 Pilot I must say this simulator really works and feels like the real deal.

  • I remember learning these during IFR training. We were then told to simply placard the NDB as INOP before FAA air checkman arrived. (Only needed to do an approach, the type isn't mandated) However if marked as INOP no worries abiut that being the type checkmen asks you to do.

  • Do the GLS approach next time. i never saw it in MSFS 2020, but i saw them in charts and i have 0 clue where to put that strange frequency in A320Neo.

  • Pascal which do you prefer VOR or NDB approach, which is better for you? I think vor is better because of the vertical additional vector, right🤔

    • Correct i find it way easier to fly a VOR Approach compared to an NDB due to the additional vector! 🙌✈️
