    • Ashish: When baby chimp is treated like a human, he grows up emotionally unstable. Then bipolar big chimp goes bonkers and starts tearing off the faces of the owners who raised it, gouges out the eyes of neighbors, runs off crazed and throws feces into traffic. Big chimp, now mortally wounded by panic-stricken local police, bashes two or three squad cars before SWAT team snipers unload all their ammo into this raging furry bloody mass.

    • +Isabel v Go for it ! It's a life time commitment ! for 3-4 years a 24/7 job for the babies ! Humans go to daycare at 2-3 years then kindergarten and don't sleep with you for years like the chimp babies do ! Also making the bed for them every night for us well you know ! More work then a human baby ! But if you committed then by all means cause it's a rewarding job ! Reward is ..... well a chimp love and from us a gratitude and a hand shake may be a kiss and a bread maker ! LOL Money ? Noooo ! The money is for the animals the food the housing and the overhead and the veterinarians bill ! Yes they are so adorable ! lol

    • +Gabor P What do you mean it is a lifetime commitment?? I think she meant she wanted to work with them not have one in her home as a pet. If she wanted to work with them it would not be a lifetime commitment..it is definitely a 24/7 job though...and it is definitely hard work though I have to say that as a mother of four and having experienced caring for infant primates it is not harder than a human infant..but definitely close to the same. (Not all people shuffle their babies off to daycare at the age of 3-4..there are actually some mothers out there who still raise their own children until they have to send them to school..and many people also try to raise their children in a very "natural" type of care..holding them on their bodies 24/7 such as in a sling, sleeping with them, nursing on demand/comfort breastfeeding etc...just wanted to point out that there are still people out there who do all the hard work of raising an infant the way they were meant to be raised by their parents and it is similar to the way a chimpanzee might care for its infant..of course the responsibility of teaching certain things to human infants that you dont every have to worry about with NHP infants..so maybe it is more difficult with human child!!)

      @PrimateProductions@PrimateProductions8 жыл бұрын
    • Gina Powell Well Humans in couple OK the Chimps are in group ! Also I did raise both my daughters all by my self no mother okay ! As a man I had no help only to go and work and pay for kinder garden and babysitter ! So do not tell me life time commitment cause I know ! I raised them both and they now fly out 25 & 27 years old they are ! All I was suggesting to this young inexperienced chick not to be irresponsible and thing of it it's easy ! But If you like her and want to support her decision then instead of trying to correct me send her a ticket to Africa and be there for life cause that is what it takes to care for them and also to any chimp baby the first 3 years 24/7 and constant physical contact with the mother or care giver ! Also FYI very easy with humans only woman complaining all the time ! As a single father I enjoy raising my 2 daughters alone without any money hungry whining nothing good enough bitches around ! They may lack the skill of playing with Barbie dolls but the love to go fishing and ice fishing snowmobiling climbing on trees water skiing jet skiing swimming and they are a good cooks ! Yeah they common-laws love them for all I teach them ! Oh and they both have pets ! Dog lizard aquarium fishes and hamsters and out parrot ! So back off woman !

    • Baby chimps are a lot tougher than baby humans. Remember, he walks around on all fours most of the time, and climbs most of the rest of the time. His hands are probably pretty tough. And I'd bet they use a "no more tears" non-toxic shampoo, though I don't actually know for sure.

Don't assume I am stupid based on a very short comment I made. If he is not at a sanctuary or rehab place out of necessity then this should be illegal everywhere, but he is still super cute.

      @amielawson9130@amielawson91308 жыл бұрын
    • +Amie Lawson So your finding having a chimp in what is clearly an abusive situation - abuse is not limited to hitting - to be "cute" is not something we should judge you on? Good to know.

      @julieritt@julieritt8 жыл бұрын
    • +Julie Ritt I never said the situation was cute, the animal itself is cute. We don't know that this is an abusive situation, but like I already stated, if this isn't a rehab or sanctuary then it should be illegal, but that doesn't mean I cannot think the animal itself is cute. I mean seriously?!?! How much more can I spell it out for you????

Do you think the puny arms of a human can match the limb severing, chest breaking, tree swinging, strength of its mother? My only thought after the ankle sucking was, he'll need a whole box of Q-tips on those ears.

    • Yeah, like lots of animals, he's not too fond of being cleaned in a bath. Sheesh, I'm an animal person don't get me wrong, but the comments section is just soaked with the tears of complete weenies. If the collective lot of you were tasked with bathing that chimp, it would take the better part of it's formative years as you ponderously attempted to convince the baby to voluntarily get into a tub, lather up, and rinse off without clowning around, and by that point, it would be far to big for the little bucket. I jest of course, and I understand the concern, but I just don't think there's any serious issue here. Then again, I grew up in the 80's, so most of the commenters probably think I'm a boomer. What do I know.

    • It belongs in the wild with Apes. Not humans. It can’t have the life it needs being captive and controlled. Even still when it reaches sexual maturity it won’t be able to be controlled and will be 3x the strength of the fittest human man and aggressive and unpredictable so they can all say oh they “ rescue” these animals or act like they were abandoned so they look like Heroes instead of folks taking part in illegal pet trade but they’re not needing to be thanked for ripping a wild ape from its mother as a baby just so they can make KZhead vids and selfishly profit while looking all benevolent on camera. Please learn and research / study into the behaviors and social structure and ways of both apes and monkeys and further into what goes on once people begin to obtain these animals/ how they’re obtained and how the mama is Kjlled , as no one could lure the infant from its mother or have her give it up willingly. They trap them or kill them to obtain the babies to trade in pet trade. Any breeding facilities you can also look into, as to how horrible and disgusting it is to see that as well if you’ve not already known all these things. I encourage anyone to seek the knowledge and use discernment and wisdom in everything , never just taking at face value what they see on the internet etc. those ppl aren’t performing some service or honorable deed. It’s very selfish .. look into also, what happens to apes and monkeys in captivity as they age.. their demeanor , how people can’t control them anymore and the existence then that comes for them, as well s as the mental/ psychological effects and damage that occur and how bad it is. It’s as bad as it would be for a human being deprived of sll social surroundings and structure , confined to a small cage in solitary, deprived of every instinct etc. those are not domesticated animals. They can’t be domesticated. Please research yourself As to why that is bc i can sit and list and explain so much but it’s far better to have someone take effort themselves to open their eyes to things they can understand in their own way .. just seriously sit and use or whatever preferred search engine and research as much as you Can asking questions as to why it’s not ok for humans to obtain these animals, what the animals mental state Becomes , LOok at videos showing the truth that goes well beyond these type typical attention seeking vids these ppl profit off of, bathing these apes and so many obtain monkeys too and plaster them on KZhead. So many claim to have rescued them but no. None of that is true. These ppl obtain them to use them in freaking social media to benefit themselves. Then the animals get thrown away or killed when they reach maturity and can’t B controlled. Or they live out 40-50 years in a cage Never leaving it, with it so small that they can hardly stand or sit. Can’t exercise or see light of day and just as we weren’t meant to be alone , apes and monkeys are extremely dependent on their social groups. They never are alone or without their entire extended family, at all times except when males are sexually mature and venture out of their troop to mate and join other troops or start their own. Please diligently research into all of these things. It’s easy for ppl to see this type stuff and want to believe in the good in people or see ppl in some heroic light but this isn’t the case.

  • Uh, is that the best you can do? The baby will sit for a bath if you make it feel more comfortable in the water ( not cold!) and if you interact with it while bathing- Chimps don't like water, so you have to make the chimp enjoy the entire experience, But: You are not cleaning it enough, there is no room for the baby to move much in the small tub, and that would help it get used to the water and ultimately to having a clean baby ape. The lack of thorough cleaning isn't great, but the lack of interaction is even more disturbing . Learn how to wash it fro head to toe and tech the baby -using a washcloth! - how to clean himself. This baby seems a bit "slow" , not enough stimulation and not enough direct , and verbal affirming and educational interaction- just a bit of laughing at it in the 'not sharing the toy' video, then this one - Why is it you have this chimp? They aren't pets, they don't like to be dressed in clothing, they aren't a baby replacement if you can't have kids and one day-if you keep going on like this- it will get pissed and bite you or a neighbor or friend,GET HIS BABY TO A SANCTUARY or at least get it a peron willing to teach and nurture thi baby chimp because you are failing thus far.

    • +Marlita Benning I know it looks rough, but mother chimps and gorillas are actually rougher. They don't do it intentionally, but they will grab the baby by one arm and sling it over their shoulders. This is especially true if the mom senses a danger or threat to the baby. She'll grab it any way she can and bolt. The babies are actually very strong and tough. As I said though, I understand your concern.
