  • This hit me in the feels. I'm a 7 decades old Vietnam vet and my very first vehicle was a '52 Dodge pickup with a flathead 6 my dad bought me when I was 15.

God bless you.

You gave the town something in good faith and when it looked like a failure, the town came back and opened up and helped. Ironically it's what the people of Whoville did when the Grinch repented, they opened up to him and just accepted what he was. Thank you all.

  • Love these old Dodge trucks. Dad always had one (1951-1953 models) and for many years they were our only vehicle. They seem to be indestructible as long as you kept oil and anti-freeze in them. We had a '54 model that an old farmer had let freeze and popped out the entire left side of the block. It was glued back in place with J-B Weld and never gave us a lick of trouble for about another 60,000 miles. It had almost 50,000 miles on it when he bought it. Years later, I found a real nice '54 model that had factory-tinted glass all around.
