Yes… Jeremy Allen White has seen The Bear memes on Twitter - “I’ve been made aware.” He reveals his favorite one as well as his predictions for season two while chatting with InStyle about everything from his first kiss at a Brooklyn grocery store to moving to LA at 18. He also shares what he loved about playing Lip Gallagher on Shameless and walks through his process preparing for The Bear (including what it was like to create Carmy’s tattoos). Plus, he ponders what’s next for that denim jacket while admitting that Carmy was originally intended to have an extracurricular interest in fashion.

  • If the scene he was nervous about is his monologue in the final episode, he had no reason to be. He absolutely fucking nailed it. I didn't even realize it was a seven minute long monologue because I was completely glued to the screen. You don't come across performances like that super often. He's got something special. And it's not just him, literally every single actor on The Bear is so fucking good. If they don't sweep the emmy's next year I'm rioting.

    • I realized half way through when he hit 3mins.... I watched it. Re-watched it and timed it. One take, one camera shot. NAILED IT. Most actors of ANY generation couldn't do that. I've been trying to get my sister to watch the show. On the basis of my description of this scene she is bingeing it as we speak. JAW is under rated by everyone else. IYKYK

    • Hey Sarah. It's the last episode of season 1. Maybe half way thru. Carmie wakes up on his couch. Goes to an AA meeting. Finally talks about his brother. Just Jeremy and 1 camera. Its a 7min monologue. No edits or cutaways. He absolutely deserves an Emmy for this one scene, if nothing else.

    • Not sure I'd go that far. Have you seen Andrew Garfield lately? Or Michael Mando? Not sure I'd call him hot but Adam Scott? This guy is fantastic in The Bear--- quite possibly the only other really great show this year besides Severance. Not sure I'd go so far as to say he's the best there is right now.

    • I wouldn't be opposed to it. Carmy deserves love. The writers are definitely talented enough to make it interesting. It's also not a bad avenue to explore a little bit: how does a person who works 24/7 and juggles all the things that Carmy does, go about even having a romantic life? Moreover, how long until it just gets completely fucked up beyond repair? I don't think it needs to be an entire storyline, but a subplot? Sign me up.

    • I agree. It would make the show basic. Every show has a corny ass romantic element, this show is so great it doesn’t need one. The lack of it makes it unique. It’s perfect. The artless ruin everything with their low standards for entertainment.

  • I LOVED THE BEAR!!!!! This show is ONE OF THE BEST shows of this year and that is hard with Euphoria and all of these other AMAZING TV series on all of the streaming platforms!!!! I PRAY that we get another season of this show. I FELT the tension, the success, the failure of online orders... the frustration of dealing with existing staff members like the cousin!!! WOW!!!!!   • I would say Jeremy looks more like a young Sean Penn. Also acting style reminds me of Sean Penn. Of course Jeremy is an amazing actor in his own right. I am really enjoying The Bear.

  • He is sooo damn sexy! I love how down to earth that he is. The way his eyes lit up while talking about his wife was just precious. “The long game”. LOL. It worked! He’s even a hands on dad who changes diapers. Could he be any cuter? Such a talented person, too. He has excelled in every role that I’ve seen him in. Looking forward to S2 of “The Bear”. I watched the entire season in one evening. If he weren’t in it, I don’t think it would have been nearly as good as it was. He IS the star. 🌟 Very happy for all of his success in the industry and life as a husband and father. He’s only going to continue to get better, and I’m going to be right here for all of it!
