  • Jimmy's dad is right. I don't blame Jimmy for not wanting to do economics or finance, and I'm glad he's making it as a standup comedian but following your (work) dreams really is the path to homelessness for most people who try it. I avoided doing something I hate by going to school for a subject that interests me

    @ProductBasement@ProductBasement Жыл бұрын
    • "I avoided doing something I hate by going to school for a subject that interests me" that just eventually makes you hate what you loved, which lands you back to square fucking one.

    • I think its good to have a plan B that goes alongside your dream. Ideally, one that helps develop skills and contacts that can help get to that dream. For example, I want to be a film director, but I work in the film industry and staying and growing there is my plan B. I might not get to Direct right now, but I'm not frustrated about a job I hate or lack growth or have to abandon hope for my dream

  • That is so wise and so true if you do something that you hate for the money. And then you have money to pay somewhere else they will to do what you and that's why things of value and things of wealth are temporary things seeing is deceiving and hearing is misleading. Because if you hate what you do for money but money is the only thing that provides you for something you love when you give over the money the person that relies on you for that probably ends up hating you because of the money

Combine that with most of our parents sining us up for like 10 additional classes and you get a school bag that's bigger than the kid. It gets windy where i went to school and litterally used my bag as an anchor to not fall. You just like put it down on earth and hold on to it, no shitting. I swear you get enough asian 6year olds and you can build a raft for them just with the bags. If this dude came to my school with his rolling bag, man, he'd be the star.
