I almost lost my super cool color argy to two rock golems. This map is rough. The weather is super hostile and there are tons of angry creatures lol.

I also hate how wilds in ASA seem to outright ignore the player and their tame to make a beeline for whatever ko'd creature you have down in the area. :( That poor Argent. Maybe make 4 fence foundations and 4 walls to close off the billboards in the future? Spite could be a name for the thorny.
Name the thorny dragon Ruiner. Or Mood Killer.

A few tips on traps for anyone. Captain fatdog has some great traps. It is hard coded into the game, something will gravitate to you and/or your tame, if nothing is nearby the game will spawn something. When something is being chased it will run directly to your tame and get stuck on it. On SE: rivers, riverbeds, lakes and mountains are the most dangerous places, set your trap somewhat away from those areas if possible. Setting a trap near a ledge or cliff cuts the area you have to defend in half and requires less defensive structures.
Yesterday I spotted a 150 female argy just as it swan dived into a pack of carnos and got melted so I absolutely feel your pain

thats the type of stuff that happens to me when i try tame something high level, u clear out the entire area of any predators, and one spawn right next to what im trying to tame and instantly aggros on it
W video evo, rip level 150 argy but the 145 kangaroo while you were traveling after the red drop was a nice surprise!
You should craft some cryo pods for taming 🤔 make it so much easier getting tames home
Watching evo get bullied by a microraptor family makes me laugh😅 syntac hates them and I’m guessing evo does too, and I’m chilling with an imprinted microraptor as a shoulder pet 😂. The Ark gods are telling you to tame up a Yuty now lol

4:34 this drop in the exact location for me falls through the map in my single player map… but of course I’m dumb and see RED DROP and have fallen for it like 7 times (base is by green ob) lol

Great argie trap design, Evo. It worked so well... I mean, i think removing the thorny dragon would improve the design a bit, but that’s just a thought

You really need to look up Captain Fatdog;s argy trap. 1 foundation, 3 walls, a door and a sloped roof
You can use middle mouse button to set flags.. most are temporary, but the white one stays until you clear it. it's perfect for situations like this. You could set rally point on the procop, easily go and come back, then clear it the same way. I believe the other players (on your clan) can see it as well. I haven't seen anyone use this feature, but I use it all the time.

ASA, always spicy. I have started leaving rend when taming anymore. Makes for good content though, keeps things entertaining to watch.

Evo I use the metal signs that I use to trap the creatures and overlap the legs to make a barrier to prevent creatures from coming in. Find it better that spikes
I don't bother with spike walls. If something came along and got damaged by them, like a paracer, it would start attacking the fences, potentially dealing aoe damage to the tame. On the Island, Syntac had hyenas run right over them and ate what was knocked out. I pretty much leave the area so it's de-loaded and nothing is happening around it. I would only go back to increase torpor or put the food in, in case just before I put the food in the creature gets hit and I have to wait for it to wake up. I feel like the, while the thorny dragon is capable of harvesting wood and gets a reduction to it's weight, they don't harvest as good as chainsaws you could get from drops on ASE. I only really use them for transport, not gathering. Especially since there seem to be way more plants that give wood, that the thorny dragon can't harvest, than actual trees on Scorched Earth.
Oh my God Evooooooooo, the 150 argy death hurts.... Make some metal spikes my man, not even wood, go straight metal, they are cheap to make, I always carry a bunch on me "Taming Kit".
I also came across a 150 argy when I was totally unprepared so I decided to just tank it on my kangaroo, it torpor ran right onto a super safe ledge, got stuck on a tree long enough to finish knocking it out, got some prime from baby terror birds, done. Sometimes its just really good luck and Ark doesn't always respect good preparation lol 😅

Anyone else having issues with their ark personal servers? My memory and cpu are both maxed out at 100% cpu usage and 10k Ram this just started happening yesterday and has been fine the 2 days bedore. My friends and I are all over 200 ping and we can’t even move 5 feet without teleporting back to our original location. We don’t have any crazy mods just QoL stuff
