Just started this game on iPad a few days ago, feeling the same way... overwhelming how much there is to do in this game, especially when you're still at level 30 with very few ways of farming. But looking forward to advancing this game it's so addictive!
If you don’t like how hard it is you shouldn’t buy the dlc’s trust me the free maps is kinda easy compared to aberration, scorched earth and genesis + you can increase the resources amount if you’re not playing on a phone I recommend to put it at 2.0 it’s decent and doesn’t make the game so easy but a bit easier

Biggest tip. Either play single player or pve. Unless you can play the game like a job. Atleast that's how I feel. So you can take you time getting acclimated and used to doing stuff

I got one more that saved my life a few times: When going on a diving adventure, take a chair with you. While swimming, you'll eventually run out of stamina and maybe your underwater tame is busy saving your ass or too far out to reach. You're too deep down to reach any coast nearby. Then it's time for the pro-gamer move: Put the chair down, sit and regain full stamina to carry on. It doesn't need a foundation or whatever, so you also may want to put a chair down riverside in shallow water where the juicy saber tooth salmons spawn and don't need to drag a raft around for loot-fishing. Edit: I've just watched another video from BEY where he mentioned exactly what I wrote, so I am sorry if this is redundant now, but I'll leave it here for good measure :) This dude really knows his stuff, and impressively so, good job!
Haha yeah I usually take one down when exploring the ocean! Never know when you're going to need it. I have it featured in my general 50 tips and tricks video, I did just want to focus this one fully on resource gathering so steered away from the general tips and tricks for this video XD

If you want thousands and thousands of stone take the doed to the volcano with an Argy and harvest the large groups of crystals
Metal rocks and river rocks are pretty good
Love the bear falling through the floor at 0:14 - really getting into the meat of what Ark is all about right away (the endless glitches)
Wish I could give this two thumbs up! I loved how you zoomed into the best locations for metal and obsidian! You also showed that pearl cave location way better than some other youtubers I watched. The tip about the snow above the cave would have definitely saved me some time.

17:30 in the lower south cave (the easiest one on the island near spawn location), there is a huge crystal cluster in the entrance that you can farm with an anky if you still have no argentavis. The anky doesnt fit in the cave but at the entrance before going deep, you can farm on or two clusters, easy greenhouse just by going one time in the cave.

Absolutely solid list, thank you. No foam or underwater bubble effects (movement based) for me, foliage interaction on and all necessary... but now my storms contain lightning. Any suggestions for the water? Or is anyone else in the same boat?
Thank you! And no problem! Sorry i'm not sure I understand? XD...I have figured out what setting it is for fixing flashing lights all over walls, not sure if that would help? It was driving me insane when I played down a load of Omnidirectional lampposts and there was constant flickering everywhere. Not sure if that will be related at all? I'd have to log in to the game and double check which setting if that's the case!
@@BEYPlaysGames I would certainly love to know that lighting setting as well! But what I am referring to is if you take a look at 10:38 in the video - you're riding the Angler: the foam around you at the surface and then as you're diving down/swimming, you also see bubbles flowing profusely around you as you move.. my game does not exhibit those despite Foliage Interaction being on, and even at max settings (including others like Post Processing, Adv. Graphics, Effect Quality, etc). Not sure which setting it is for those bubbles/foam to show up. I tried to look that up, but found nothing.. saw you had the foam/bubbles so I wanted to try and ask! Regardless, thanks for the reply.

If you walk up to swamp bushes with a zino and hop off and let it auto harvest it gets massive amounts of flowers. Also you can have a grill Q on follow to a giga and you can end up with insane amounts of cooked primes, great vid!

Hi, I got a bit unrelated question. Noticed you have the fluid interaction settings on, do you also experience a ton of crashes when closing inventories?
Hi! I have it on and sometimes turn it off to test things out but honestly haven't noticed much difference, I rarely crash with the setting turned on...tbh some days I won't crash at all and then other days i'll crash 50 times XD
@@BEYPlaysGames I noticed that with it off i crash only once every few days, however it makes all the small rocks kinda floaty :D
I did hear about that haha, I used to have floaty rocks and changed it to get rid of it, I might change it back though if I start crashing a load again😁@@BetaraptorLP

Extra POLY can be gotten riding the Moschops by clicking the left trigger or clicking right thumbstick on Xbox/PS5, don't know what that is on PC.
It does gather better than the basic attack yep! I tested it out and the Moschops always gathered more when on aggressive using the attack itself and not being ridden...but I can do more testing to clarify if you like? XD

Use a stack mod my favourite is the 100/90%, modify all character skills at level up, so weight and melee can be huge, one hit kills, destroy big rocks one swing, I play single player, as I don't trust other players, from bad experience in survival evolved
