About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

    • I live near the San Leucio silk factories in Italy, do you know them? They made the fabrics for the Royal Palace of Caserta and other fabrics for palaces around the world.

  • What I enjoy the most is watching Terry and Tracy revel in putting together those beautiful elements to create the ambiance you're after. All the slogging at repairing and restoring the chateau has finally resulted in this reward. I know it will be gorgeous.   • You got such fine taste. Really of the best of the vlogs I follow. On camera in the end of your reveal, I could put that drapery curtain fabric with your choices. But of course, it's only on camera and one don't know exactly what kind of an atmosphere you are going for. And my opinion as a room get together one often change one's mind to create that final touch of wow. That curtain fabric is really such a stunning fabric. I love it when fabric change in the different light that falls on it. Can't wait to see the room coming together.

  • Wonderful choices! You combine vision with restraint. It will be lovely. For the chandelier, you might consider a thin lucite covered in a fabric or wallpaper. Also, I used to work in an exclusive lamp shop where we made lamp bases from hurricane lanterns by decoupaging the inside with botanicals and butterfly's and then painting over them so that from the outside you saw the design on the painted background color. Glue the cut out botanicals so that they face outwards. You can use any beautiful prints you want...maybe even old photos of the Titanic combined with decorative bits in the colors of the room. The light will shine through and illuminate the design.

  • I love your colour choices fit for the Chateau. Terry and Tracy everything just goes together. The material for the Tower windows is beautiful. The picture lights are fantastic. Great plans. The bedroom wallpaper is stunning so so pretty and the plaster moulding will top it off and the sconces are perfect. I’ll look forward to the upholstering of the chairs.     • Unless one has rooms with high ceilings and tall windows, plus lighting which is just right, it might be difficult to picture it. Trust that Terry and Tracy are doing what is perfect for their Château. The rooms will be opulent, almost regal. I believe that is what they’re going for. 🩸🦠🩸So looking forward to the magical steps being taken!

  • For the shimmery blue fabric, I think that level of glitz could be very well received as a fabric window rosette (when fabric is gathered into a rosette shape)? Maybe in a formal dining room or sitting room? Up high it would brilliantly reflect the light from a chandelier, and the rosette shape would help the glitz look multifaceted instead of a flat sheen that a curtain of this fabric would have. That was my take away from 14:50 :)

  • Hi Tracy, Terry & Ash, Chocolate is totally essential. I ordered chocolate by mail and the cold pack postage cost three times the price of the chocolate. The green velvet might look best as an accent on that small chair and a foot stool or two, it can be to strong if to much is used. The rest of the fabrics for the other spaces look great, and in the bathroom, you can always think about electric in-floor radiant heat. Nothing better than warm floors in a bathroom. The picture lights, the set of three sconces and the lights for the bathroom will look terrific. Mark & Scott

  • Love the fabrics and wall paper... gorgeous! Good job on all the wonderful finds ..those lamps!!!! Here are my thoughts about drapery in a holiday room. Some people can't sleep unless its really dark in the room. So, you can put heavy drapes but have sheers behind. That way you have that flowy fabric you want when the drapes are opened.
