  • This is the sign my follicular phase needed. Feeling so inspired that I just stood in the corner of my bedroom for fifteen straight minutes and silently stared at everything. My husband is concerned because he knows something's coming. Looking forward to the kitchen version of this and giving my mans an anxiety disorder.

  • Mother of a babe here! The nursery shaming online is REAL lol. Artwork shouldn't be hung on a wall adjacent to a crib, BUT. If you look, it's on a recessed wall about 1 foot away from crib. I think that is totally fine. The parents are also obv into safety given they have a legit-grade monitor hanging above the crib. You were justified in fighting online w/ this stranger ahhaha. Thanks for sharing nursery inspo! For mine, I made my own artwork of a landscape. Super cheap and a creative way to channel my nesting instincts - knowing my son will have artwork I made him forever is so much better than buying a generic nursery print online. Can't wait to see what you do for your little one(s) when the time comes!

  • Hey Caroline - sitting in the flat I’ve just moved into by myself as a single twenty something guy surrounded by full packing boxes and work to do. I’ve been anticipating this move for a long time and have been trying to make sure my home will feel comfortable, creative, calming and like mine after having lived in places that have sapped my energy for years. Tonight I was really run down after a difficult few days of work and moving, and wondering where to find the motivation to keep unpacking boxes. Started watching this video and instantly wanted to get back on my feet and keep at it. Few other people in my life really care about this sort of thing but I’m finding an enjoyment in decor and design recently after never really feeling drawn to it before, and just sampling the energy and passion you have for this really reminded me what I’m working towards. Thankyou for that and for the inspo!!

  • Agree. The only thing I’d say is carefully think about having 2 tone walls. After living with orangey TnG half way up the yellowy cream walls, I’ve painted the whole room white. This felt like adding 4” to the height. Then I put the curtains just under the crown moulding and that added another foot of height. I now stand taller in here but beforehand the ceiling was closing in on me. Love the voices. When my kids were little and I got sick of my own voice, I started singing the instructions. ❤

Like, "Hello, this is the nighttime space where we sleep but also have places to put our books or phones as we hunker down for the night, and this giant headboard is showing you where that space is." It's basically acting as a vertical rug.

  • Love this! Especially appreciate that you are basically training our eyes to understand how to view spaces from a designer’s POV: negative space, etc. Also your hair looks super glam, in a natural way. Bangs are making me want to give myself some!

  • OK, this might be one of my faves so far: chill, but fascinating and I felt like I was learning a bunch. PLUS . . . "natural light might be what's keeping me from ending it all". Exactly. Also, just for the record, I enjoy the voices. The Voices have some pretty good ideas.😉 And finally, speaking of an accent color that makes the scene pop, the cute red sweater highlights your lovely gray-green eyes that I had never noticed after watching ALL your videos. Nice tough. Bravo! Do it again. How about home office inspo? Dang! my office is just a bin of work.

  • Hi Caroline! I'm a big fan and I actually got my mom into your videos too! She's been really into redesigning her house, clearly inspired by your videos! It's so cool to see her having fun with designing her home instead of stressing about it. Every time I visit her house her style has evolved and there are new and interesting things to see. :) We often talk about "What would Caroline do with [enter interior design problem here]?" Are you planning on doing anymore of those critique/advice interior design videos for viewers' rooms?

I’m going through a major decluttering at the moment and find that a part of this is wanting to change the design of what is on my walls. Would really like to have you do more of these. • I LOVED this video Caroline. I think it’s helping me to view inspo differently. I feel like lately I look at a picture and feel like I need to get an exact style/pattern/item that I like, rather than looking at WHY I like it and then applying that in my own way. I would love to see a bathroom inspo video next!!

  • Thanks for diving into the details! It’s interesting understanding/ identifying what makes a space appealing or appear well designed. I do this when I walk by houses - try to identify why I like one house’s exterior over the other, but I’m only recently attempting it with interior spaces. I like that you brought up some design techniques that I didn’t notice in each space.

  • Feng Shui consultant apprentice here. There are a couple simple things you can do to purify your bed (and I reckon you have nothing to lose by trying them out!). Firstly, leave a bowl of salt and rice on top of your bed for the day (or overnight if you happen to be out). Toss the salt and rice away afterwards. Secondly, waft burning incense around the bed frame and then walk outside of the apartment with the incense still burning. Once outside, you can extinguish the incense and discard it (don’t bring it back inside). Doing both of these methods will thoroughly cleanse any residual energy from the previous owner.

  • Love this type of video 💕 Story time.... My ex's mother once gave me a TedTalk ('case it sure as f*ck wasn't a conversation from me) on how she didn't believe in dressing or exposing babies to colour. That 'babies should be dressed in white and the nursery should be a very pale colour'. That you should then start SLOWLY introducing colour at around 6months. I was not pregnant. I had no plan to be, especially by her son. I think about her crazy ass every time I see a nursery and how disapproving she'd be 😂
