I love how much detail Mercedes put into their cars, this GT looks wonderful.

Friend of mine has one. Everything is so perfectly made to fit. Even the leather interior stitching, it's so even. Accellerating off the line, it feels like the tyres have little cat nails, clawing in the tarmac. It has so much grip.
Both cars are fantastic but Mercedes have been making extremely attractive cars in the last few years !!
Comfort mode makes it just like a normal Rs7 in comfort--560 HP and the shifts are more for fuel mileage--you can look this up.It also cuts .5 to.8 of the quarter. I have a new 2020 AWD Stinger GT 3.3TT.Setting up the computers the right way is critical to these cars and I think that is main reason for times all over the place.You can also goto fastlabs and see all the stats on these cars--including lap times around 3 or 4 tracks with times and its position.Car and driver got like a 140 (willow springs)in a AWD Stinger--fastlabs got a 129.10--faster then a 50th anniversary 911 because they set the computers up.I mostly ride around in comfort in my stinger and never touched the computers the first 3 months since the car seemed so fast.Put it in sport and change some other settings and the Stinger is much faster tighter--throttle response and shifts way fasterAlso by you leaving it in comfort on roll races--really saps--if I switch my Stinger to sport while driving the RPM goes up a thousand as it lowers gears and it goes much faster--10% to 20% faster just by using the computers.I am using my car as an example cause I have had it for months and know the computers and have driven newer Audis and their computers are similiar.If you had left that Audi in comfort and I was in my stinger in sport they probably would be neck and neck--put that Audi ib sport and it will really go.AMG cars are also just fast in general--even in comfort the 2 I have ever driven seem to adjust so that if you stomp the pedal--i think at least the shifts and engine give you full power.

Things you should perform everytime for these races: 1. Sound check 2. Drag race (sports mode of course), 2 times 3. Rolling race (once in comfort and once in sports) 4. Brake test I just hope he keeps doing this regularly

It's amazing how big of a gap 0.5 sec actually is.
Not really that big once you consider the price difference
Actually very small gap. The wide camera angles and empty field create that impression. 0.5s difference cars are very close to each other in real life. Especially once you factor in reaction time.
At 0.2 seconds, at 60mph, that is 1-1.5 car lengths. Don’t underestimate the 0.5 difference it is about 2 car lengths.

Theoretically, the fair race should be the RS7 vs AMG GT63, not the GT63S, as S is a superior trim. For this to be fair, Audi would have to develop an RS7 Performance (or +).

I think the current RS 7 and 6 are meant to compete comparably with the GT 63 and M8 grand coupe and not the 63s or competition variants. Unless of course Audi ups the hp a little more to compete.

I’ve had that same issue with he seatbelt in my AMG as well. It must’ve also thought that we were going to die, so it decided to kill me first by crushing my chest akin to a python. Only after I slowed to a crawl did it release it’s vice grip.
