CV90 Fighting Vehicle or Strf 90 is a highly tactical armored combat vehicle family developed in 1984 to the early 1990s to meet operational requirements of the Swedish Army. It was co-developed by Saab Bofors Dynamics and Hagglunds. Developed specifically for the Nordic subarctic climate, the vehicle has very good mobility in snow and wetlands while carrying and supporting eight, and in later versions six, fully equipped soldiers.

  • I just wanted to comment on how well edited this video is, especially the section from 0:46 to 1:08. The syncing of the video and music and the audio fading of the vehicle footage and the music are all excellent and very creative. I always enjoy your videos but I thought this one was particularly well made.

    • Actually yes, it was a bit difficult to edit these sequences. and you can hear all these details when listened to with a good headphones. I am so glad you paid attention to these details. New edit style for IFV category. Enjoy the video.

  • 1:20 is this the 40mm version with a long barrel? Some are equppied with 30mm with a short barrel+autoloader.

    • Nope judging from the turret design and the gas chamber seen on the barrel n its size it looks to me like the CV90120-T Ghost as the name implies it's equipment with a 120mm smoothbore gun and a redesigned turret with a new camouflage coating which makes it invincible from heat signature hence the name ghost this version of the CV90 is closer to a light tank instead of a IFV

  • When firing the autocannon it spits the casings almost vertical into the air. Would this not be a risk to dismounts?

    • Well, it ejects each casing vertically right above where the cannon breach should be. If there would be dismounts, they wouldn’t be near the vehicles main cannon.
