Ngl, i do remember everyone shitting on Strickland (me included, still) but i don't recall anyone talking about his defence besides the Alex fight, the main talking points were his footwork and arm punching style, awkward stance (not really a issue if you follow boxing) and lastly, lack of kicking, knees and elbows. Never knew the defence bit was a huge focus on the community.

You forgot to mention that Jon Jones also failed a drug test prior to the Gustafson rematch and the UFC had to move the entire event to get Jones cleared for the fight. Its really fucked how in Jons rematches with Cormier and Gustafson he failed drug tests for both fights, still got to fight and delivered two brutal finishes that would alter DC and Gustafson's careers and legacies. But as time goes on people will just remember those fights as great Jon Jones performances. I know im a hater and I'll admit that Jon Jones is still the greatest talent this sport has ever seen but he is also the biggest cheater for sure.

You forgot to mention that Jon Jones also failed a drug test prior to the Gustafson rematch and the UFC had to move the entire event to get Jones cleared for the fight. Its really fucked how in Jons rematches with Cormier and Gustafson he failed drug tests for both fights, still got to fight and delivered two brutal finishes that would alter DC and Gustafson's careers and legacies. But as time goes on people will just remember those fights as great Jon Jones performances. I know im a hater and I'll admit that Jon Jones is still the greatest talent this sport has ever seen but he is also the biggest cheater for sure.
