I probably watched this interview back in 84. And here we are in 2021 and has music and society ever changed for the worst.

"Old nostalgic time better than new time" a phrase as old as time. There were plenty of people in the 80s that thought this was just white noise compared to the "good music of the 50s"

I loved them as a kid clearly but.... after watching their Documentary, these guys were just disrespected by the whole American music industry. They deserve all their success. I can't believe Dee and Jay Jay never drank, smoked or did drugs!!! 😲😲

Dee never drank, smoked or did drugs. Jay Jay was a full blown drug addict in the late '60s & early '70s and was part of the NYC hippie drug culture. He quit drugs just three months shy of his 20th birthday in 1972 and has been clean ever since.

C, well Dee did did drink alcohol, but only on special occasion like when he go out with his wife or something. In a clip, he went out for dinner with his wife and he had a full glass of wine in his hand.

500, 000 copies sold was considered double platinum in Canada? That number is only gold status in the US. I guess the certifications depend on population density or something.
