Hey guys, I know you're busy and hope you're well. Just watched the video and it made me remember an old video you did at the city of Norwich aviation museum. I volunteer at the museum in Norwich and would love to invite you again and get you in a good few of the aircraft and show you how much its changed since your last visit.
Can’t beat a good aircraft museum, always an interesting visit. Including my apprenticeship (I trained as an aircraft electrician) I spent 51 years working on aeroplanes. I started at Hawker Siddeley working on Harriers, Hunters, Hawks and a Gnat, later on I moved to an airport working on big aeroplanes including BAC 1-11’s, DC10’s, A320’s, Boeing 747’s, Airbus A340’s and A330’s. A lot of the aircraft in museums have been donated, but the problem museums have is keeping them in good condition, if you leave them outside in the weather they deteriorate and corrode. That’s why some museums have just the cockpit sections because of the amount of space a full aircraft takes up. It’s a shame to cut the rest off but the cockpit is where all the interesting bits are. Small military aircraft don’t have a lot of space in them, I’m 6 foot 3 inches and getting into some of the places inside to work on them was a struggle at times. Even on the big civil aircraft some places where things are fitted was not easy to get to. But I enjoyed the job so much I deferred my retirement for two years, it was always interesting and gave me a sense of achievement when an aircraft came in with a defect and I had it fixed and back out flying in a couple of hours. Some of the actual aeroplanes I worked on are in museums XX154 the very first Hawk, G-VTOL the company demonstrator Harrier and G-HAWK the company demonstrator HAWK. I think there’s a couple of others as well but they are in private collections. Just remember in that simulator or a real aeroplane, getting off the ground in an aeroplane is the relatively easy bit, just go fast enough and you’ll go up. Getting back down on the ground in one piece is a little more difficult. A common saying among pilots is any landing you walk away from is a good one. Don’t worry Mazzy, those military aeroplanes you were looking at have not had anybody die in them, if they had they’d have been smashed to bits when they hit the ground! But as amazing as those ejector seats are, they will save your life if it all goes wrong with the aeroplane in the air but if you get it wrong on the ground(especially in a hangar) they will kill you! I’ve added this museum to my list of must visit places.
Great video enjoyed so much thanks to you both Maureen xxxxxxx
What a great museum 😊
I loved all your museum videos I watched all your old videos aswell 😊❤
The nozzle thing at the plane maybe for refueling while in the air 😊
The tiny pink helicopter was once flown over Dublin City (Ireland) giving traffic reports during morning rush, it was sponsored by a company called Eircell who were a mobile phone provider
At the far side of the lake to where your hotel is there are a whole load more eating places and another pub, also Asda.
That museum looks very interesting
The airship as Mazzy called it is the Douglas DC-3 which flew during world war two as a troop transport

Your the best vlogers and I love you both so much as you can see 😅😅😂 xx
Just watching mazzy x she was saying you both couldn't open a jar of beetroot , just tap the side of the lid lightly with a hammer or on a hard service and it should open easily !!
That happened to me last night. I asked my Son to open a jar of beetroot. He started tapping it on table, no I said you will break the jar. 😂😂He said no Mum, I'm the chef , watch and learn. 😂😂❤
@@marionmoore665 I learned from my aunt years ago 🙂❤️
Hi dan and mazzy interesting video helicopters etc weather looks good too 😊
The nozzle that was on the front of that one plane is for aerial refueling. A basket hangs out of the back of a bigger plane full of fuel and you fit the two together and it fuels it once connected.
I can see you moving there x
Cool
💜💜💜
The reason the water is that colour is because they add a dye to it, preventing the sunlight penetrating. They've probably had previous problems with extreme weed growth
Under the tables as kids, to keep us safe from thunder and lightning. 😂😂😂😂😊
I always walk Mazzy. Cant drive anymore hun. 😊😅😂😅😂

Loved the museum. There's an Aviation Museum about 20 miles from home and I really ought to check it out. Have you got a matching orange jacket to go with your convict trousers Dan? I think it's about a 5 mile walk to the nearest bus stop from home.
Hi Dan and Mazzy. A lovely vlog of the planes and helicopters. Hope you had a lovely walk as it looks beautiful there. ❤️❤️
Don't know when I'll be back again :)

Fantastic video 🎉
Hi Dan and mazzy I hope you visit again and yeah mazzy why not move here it's a great place to live, maybe after bowling and cinema you could have a day at the races if it's your thing, or a day at Yorkshire wildlife park it's one hell of a walk but well worth it about 15 mins away from where u stayed, take care and safe travels❤
You have to duck when getting in or out of a helicopter because of the massive down draft.
Can't you wear a draft excluder?
Looks well cool there! I love places like that 😊I’m pitches up right near the Ongar secret 🤫 nuclear bunker you would love it in there! X love to ya’s from us lot xxx ❤
Hello Dan and Mazzy , Hope you are well and enjoyed your Break , looks a Great break and How cute are the Duckling , And Nice looking walk around the Lake , Have a nice Holiday , Take care All , XX
Interesting video the planes and helicopters and the lake looks gorgeous with the blue sky. 🥰
Crumbs that was step up over the bridge. Well done on that one. I am like you mazzy I love the planes. Not really sure why, but they do excite me.xx I think it’s 751 miles an hour when you hear the planes break the sound barrier , that would be in emergency of course. So could you imagine, doing the speed of the lightning. Unbelievable in a plane so old. Thanks for sharing today with us very enjoyable.. the class 55 by the way is called a Deltic. There are a few preserved. I loved the sound they made. I think my all time favourite train.
That was a very interesting vlog with all the old planes and helicopters I love all that looking back at history loved it thank you for showing us round the place ❤😊xx
I love an air museum. The Solway air museum was a good one, you can go inside a (whole) Vulcan bomber.

Fascinating! I don't know anything about aircraft but it's always amazing to see them up close like this. I do love this kind of museum, something a little bit different with a specific theme and full of passion for the topic. Very enjoyable video!
