Max Blumenthal came to the Community Church of Boston to give us a talk about the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Gaza, and respond to Q&A.
Max Blumenthal is a journalist, author, and documentary film maker. Some of his works include the books "Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel", and "The 51 Day War: Ruin and Resistance in Gaza." Max Blumenthal and Dan Cohen also produced the documentry film "Killing Gaza."
Thank you Max for your bravery. As a Catholic I am ashamed at the silence of my church.
The Pope did speak out and got criticised by the usual mouthpieces for it. He didn't speak out much but if he gets attacked by the bad guys then you know at least he's not a bad guy.
I'm an abuse victim of the Roman Catholic Church. After five and a half decades, I suffer from the abuse at the hands of the clergy. I was very grateful that the Pontif spoke out against the terrorism toward the besieged Palestinian people. Most in the church, both Catholic and Protestant remain silent on this tragedy, some even go as far as cheering on the unfolding genocide.

I'm reading a book that is the first of it's kind. Gaza Writes Back - Short Stories from Young Writers in Gaza, Palestine by Refaat Alareer, Editor.

@@mischevious Yes he is. He and his wife and six children were murdered with bombs exploding around them. They were told to go to the north then they bombed the north. Reffaat said "we are not leaving our homeland. He decided to stay and had to decide to put his children in separate room or all die in the same room. I do not know what his decision he made. But yes they are all dead. He was able to write poetry amongst bombs blowing up around him. That is why this book is the first of it's kind. Reffaat's body, his wife and six children are still under the rubble. No one is there to pull their bodies out to give them a decent burial or even take any of their stuff to their remaning familys. Do you get why this book si important and the first of its kind... I hope his works lives on in on forever for people to learn about the truth. Google "Operation Cast Lead" in relation to Gaza.

Exposing Lebensraum Philosophy Manifested.
We decent human beings in the diaspora who stand against Israeli apartheid and oppression need to activate, connect and organise and start putting immense pressure on the hypocritical governments of the West who are propping up Israel, especially the US. We can: • Use our votes in elections and vote out any Pro-Israeli politicians. There are more of us around the world than there are Pro- Israelis, we can do this if we organise! This will scare the hell out of the “other team” and they will try to counter it but we can do it. • Second point and it’s almost more important. Most of us Pro- Palestinians are highly educated and now have money in our pockets. We need to put this into use for the cause. Companies, celebrities and politicians specifically in the West will not let anything come in the way of their income. If we organise and boycott any Pro-Israeli entity or person, they will soon change their tune, in the least they will stop their public support for Israel. • Third and final point, we need to do something to help good Palestinian leaders to take the leadership positions on the ground in Palestine to represent their people and capitalise on above points. They need to deliver a just two-state solution urgently. • We can do this, it might take a while but justice is on our side and we have to stand hand in hand with the Palestinians. The arc of history is long but it leans towards justice. Be part of making history, join us in freeing Palestine!
