dont forget they give out a lot of glowy ores in events and you can buy even more with event tokens
But the book of heroes also dropped in value with the abilities not being linked to hero levels, the nerf on costs. So I don’t even know if a book of heroes is worth the full 500 gems anymore.
The normal pieces of equipment were already at level 15 when the update hit, because my heroes were max already.

Im sure there will be an event to speed the upgrade for equipment up or a potion that fully max out designated townhall level for an hour of all the equipment this month or three. Patience is the key and actively playing

@@Alex-02 oh just because the high lvl players like myself usually have played for 8+ yrs, so it makes sense to still be here dedicated. But new players, once they see that “14 day upgrade” on something, it would make sense if they left, thinking the games not worth it lol.

@@tj_puma Of course there was a larger player base back in 2013-2015, but the game will still be new to those who haven’t played before. The game has even existed for so long there are young kids who weren’t even born who are discovering it for the first time.
I think the problem with ores is that it is so heavily war dependent with obtaining them. Casual players who can't or don't like to war at at a huuuge disadvantage now. Before you could make up for wars by just farming but you can't do that anymore. I really don't like it especially since I like to upgrade all my heroes to the max as soon as possible with each townhall lvl. I feel like I'm being punished for upgrading my heroes and not participating in wars. 😢
Big true, I’d love it if they would just allow you to attack with your lower lvl heros while they are upgrading the same as your defenses while on defense in war, but I don’t see that happening either. That would fix the biggest reason why players feel like they can’t war, no heros you’re attack is severely punished
Also u need to keep your heroes up if you wsnt to win wars 2 star without heroes is not impossible but eventually your clan mates will hate you because you will be the reason why they cant win wars
it is better to get hero book. ores are easy to get if you are in a consistent war clan and doing star bonus every day. all you need is to learn a consistent attack like lavaloon and you will get a good amount. then you get hero book with gems for hero upgrades so you can max townhall faster as it will take longer to max th than to max your abilities and you will end up with max everything after a hefty few months depending on th

It is strange that almost nobody request for hero upgrade times to be reduced we have anough arguments for this to happen including most important one being the new Th16 hero levels
Grinding ores is the reason to move to legend league starting from th11. (Well, technically titan 1, but with legend league bonus)

I use giant arrow to wipe out both air sweepers before doing air raids cuz it maxes out at 1.2k dmg and air sweepers max out at 1.05k hp and then use eternal tome to keep a battle blimp alive long enough to make it to the core and I’m free to playing the game with a lvl 10 giant arrow already because I just do everything
Don’t know if this is a factor in your 400 days but as a max th15 (at time of th16 release) I was given all equipment at lvl14, or 15
It should take a long time to max out the equipment for FTP. In less than a year, most will have max equipment and they will balance the game around it, making the max equipment a prerequisite and not an advantage. Maxing out the hero gauntlet/Epics should be very long or very expensive. Of course they are going to add the GW and Royal champ Epics and other pieces for the Royal Champ. So maybe it will take a longer time. Super cash generator for them I'm sure! Whoever came up with that idea, should get a big bonus.

i was a th14 with maxed heroes at 14. so my previous equipments were already 14/15. i have been playing continuously since the equipment update and my equipment levels are : barbarian spawn :14 rage vial: 15 gaint gauntlet : 17 eq boots : 6 vampstach : 6 archer spawn : 14 invisibility vial : 18 healer puppet : 3 gaint arrow : 6 eternal tome : 16 healing tome:15 rage tome : 7 life gem :14 rc abilities both at 15. so i think it is possible for f2p to get their equipments high lvl eventually

I've been playing COC on and off since its release. After a 2yr break I decided to play again. One thing that I always do when I get active again is to upgrade my 4 heroes back to back non-stop until max. I'm doing it again but kind of disappointed with this new system. Seems like hero levels doesn't matter very much anymore. P.S. This video is great! Puts everything in the right perspective. Ty!
don't bother yourself upgrading heroes, you'll only burn yourself out, enjoy defensive upgrades and look of your base

You'll get 2300 free gems per month if you maximize gem production. You can buy all the glowy and star ores from the shop. Glowy ore is priority over star ore even with queens epic equipment.

My kings EQ boots and Glove are maxed and my wardens tomes and my RC’s royal gem and seeking shield are maxed as are all my hero’s combine all of that with some root riders and you will be unstoppable 10 riders 5 witches 4 healers 1 Wizard 2 rage 3 freeze 4 haste cc troops 2 pekka 1 rage 1 freeze parachuting siege is very very lucrative for the user

Its okay I dont have maxed heroes or equipments, coz if they are maxed Im definitely get bored. I find it challenging that as a F2P Im grinding to max. My builder base is bout 90% maxed and Im getting bored playing it
Remember we will have more events that gives a lot of ores, so the 400 days will actually be a lot shorter
Every week you get around 120 gems if i am not wrong (if gem mine is maxed in builder base + obsicle + Clock tower potion to sell

I AM ON TH 12 I UPGRADED MY INTERNAL tomb to level 15
Maxing everything seems unrealistic. I do like the fact it's grindy to get ores since it satisfies me every time I upgrade my equipment. I will say this no need to get every equipment maxed make sure to find your most optimal attack and best equipment for them and max it. For me I'm using BK with stash and gauntlet mainly for tanking or funneling and I won't be changing it for a while For my queen I'm using invis and waiting for the ice arrow and once after that I'm done with my queen Grand warden I'm using tomed and rage gem since I do warden walk. That's all I been spending my ores for what I gain from Titan league 1(Dailies), Wars. I will say I'm doing decent and if we add future event maxing your focused equipment would be easy
it's the same thing as pets, when released they took an year to max for a lot of people
The issue is what are you going to do when they nerf the equipments and they become useless to you? All they ever do is nerf heroes. In all my years of playing this game before I quit I never seen a buff. Only nerfs. Keep that in mind.

I have to agree books aren't as valuable anymore. You'll still want to get your heroes to th15 max to avoid needing an extra hit to take out buildings.

Well actually the application doesn't work on ANY windows. It's only 10 and 11. So if you're rocking anything under that you can't even install the thing. I thought you were delusional when u started talking about th16 winning 100% of wars and in legends league winning every attack but then you went realistic mode which is what normal people would actually experience and that is about 3 years to max equipment. Thing is, how much you wanna bet that supercell will add new gears ingame every year and that makes your current gear all but useless and you have to start over. And if they put in Legendary gears that requires even more newer resources odds are you'll never max out as F2P, in fact not even close.

Your conclusion that hero book offers no practical value is incorrect, it allows you to keep your hero's active and usable rather than having them down, which is EXTREMELY practical. You also incorrectly stated that a benefit to ores over the book is that you wont have to wait for heroes to finish upgrading...that is the exact benefit gained from the book, it is not a benefit gained from the ores. You also state that the book "requires" the additional resource of dark elixir while the equipment upgrades do not, that is true but it is not a negative factor like you are implying, the only thing for lower town hall players to use dark elixir on is their heroes, so if they are not grabbing books then the only way to use the dark elixir is to put heroes down, so spending gems on ores rather than books is going to actually cause players to have to put heroes down, which is a big negative factor for spending gems on ores. In summary, gems should be spent on books of heroes and NOT on ores, because what is the point in having a high level equipment on your hero if that hero has to be down for upgrade? Just delete out the illogical "why you should still consider ore offers" and the video becomes a great guide for helping players understand how to be efficient with their resources.

A potion is a band aid for war attacks, it doesnt help you progress. You CAN 3 star a TH16 as a TH12 but you have to be way better in order to do so. The point of the game is to progress and get stronger, leaving your heroes at level 1 isnt going to help you. So, if you want to get your heroes stronger and do it the most efficient and effective way possible, use your gems on hero books, not ore.@@trenddssetter

using hero potion look not that good on my opinion because your heroes totally weak but you cheating it using a potion 😝 i never uses hero potion, my th13 only halfway progress, but my all 4 heroes are done max out. im uses qc hybrid attack, then i just upgrade 2 heroes abilities on each heroes. its not max out yet, but its enough, its enough for f2p guys. heroes potion won't work for defense. its worth it to spend 500 gems for book of hero. your heroes always at high level, no need for help from potion
