So Pym and Howard stark had a falling out, because pym thought stark stole Pym particles right? So I assumed Tony jumped to the day Pym says Howard stole the particles, and there was some cut scene explaining the exact date. So that way the gag would be that Tony Stark stole the particles that Howard Stark was accused of but didn't do himself. And thats why the date has meaning to tony, because Pym always accused howard of it to the point he would even say what the exact date was.

@@djredshow Actually with the events of Loki that is how time travel works in the MCU, the future can change the past and can create an alternate future when changing the past, since what the Avengers did was supposed to happen it would mean that the original timeline was snapped, they travelled back in time to alter it, in doing so they created a nexus event and we were changed to follow the MCU in the variant timeline by the TVA (which does still exist post Loki) pruning the original timeline they left. Sylvie actually changed the past and future by altering the present. Anything is possible in a Multiverse, Earth 616 is still earth 616 in every variant version, except the ones that were made variants by being labeled something other than 616.
Why would it be weird for one of the founders of SHIELD to talk to one of the important scientists who's been there for decades? I bet they'd have weekly meetings. Also, Stark's reaction reads to me like he was so focused on finding the stones -- and picking a date when he knew the stone and Pym were at the same base, *not* when he knew that his father and Pym were there, because why would that be what he was thinking of? -- that he didn't think about how that date relates to his birth? The fate of the universe was in the balance, after all.

I don't think that the MCU should bring in the story line of "Tony Stark was adopted". I think that would ruin the Tony Stark we grew to love.
I think he's reading too much into it... Tony was just thrown because he met his father and because his father told him his mother was pregnant with him, he's still human and that simply wasn't on his mind.

Howard definitely knew a lot about what zola was doing because we see Jarvis.I thought Jarvis was made by Howard but his brain was actually uploaded like zola.
The emotions changing in just seconds on RDJ's face are really something. That always felt that there is more to this scene that we think.
The interesting thing is that when he's convincing Cap to go back to 1970, he says he knows both (Pym and the Tesseract) are there, and he knows how he knows. That felt very foreshadowy to me but was never paid off. Especially considering he wasn't alive then. But now that I think about it, the presence of Loki in 1973 in his upcoming solo series might be where this becomes clear.

I've been thinking about this too after watching Endgame for like the 16th time. What if Tony is a clone of Howard? He would have knowledge of everything that Howard had it his mind, thus making Tony doubly smart. Just my input.
Well they used it to create cap and it was next seen in Captain Marvel at a shield facility. I don't think it's too far-fetched that there was extensive mentionings of it in shield files as well as Howard's personal notes thus creating an in-universe timeline for Tony to follow.
Joe Wyatt what if Howard just found a way to use Zola’s mind transfer tech, but instead to his newborn son instead of a computer mainframe. That way Howard would live on through Tony; while letting Tony inherently have more knowledge at a younger age. Possibly explaining how Tony is so smart.
Why is everyone only just mentioning this, I literally remember on my first viewing hearing Howard say “Arnim is that you” when Tony was attempting to nick the tesseract

There is definitely something going with how confused he looked in the elevator. This is going to only make sense years from now, just like how old Cap was holding one of the corners of Peggy Carter's coffin while Young Cap was holding the front right side (Google it). As for Tony's father tinkering with his son's DNA...well we know in Civil War he had access to enough super soldier formula to make a team of super soldiers in his trunk. It is not to much of a leap from there to gifting Tony with his super brain. The real question that is going to keep me up at night is what happened to the other time line where Loki wasn't lost as the Sorcerer supreme seemed to indicated that any change created an alternative time line...and does that mean that time line it ended on was copies of all the people from the original time line and the others are still post first snap OR... ...ok, stopping now. Hey here's a addition to your theory- Tony stark was still alive despite he was in space in 2012.He went there through a wormhole but was still alive despite the fact that his suit at that time wasn't designed to go to space or to provide him artificial oxygen.

It's not a conspiracy because they time traveled to April 4th, 1970, and then Tony was born on May 29, 1970. The timeline fits because Howard said shes clearly expecting.

I need a short video for an Age of Ultron rewatch! I just saw it again and there are a few mysterious lines. Fury literally gives it away that he was off-world at some point by saying "here we are back on earth" and Black Widow definitely mentions a potential Namor reference that they pass off as Hulk's Quinjet.

I don't know... I think Tony's reaction was more on how Howard was talking about his family. Tony doesn't seem to remember this side of his father, only recalling how disappointed he was. I believe that seeing this side of his father startled him, and had him questioning the interaction.

I just took the scene in Endgame as, Howard not knowing about Zola and Hydra like the rest of the world. After all, Zola was recruited to work for them. Though idk why no one kept an eye on his every move since he worked for Red Skull lol

Nayops 18 Ironman’s mom and dad died when Tony was grown. They were killed by the winter soldier in 1991. If you would have paid attention to the movie you would have realized; Tony hasn’t been born yet, his mom is pregnant with him. So no, Howard doesn’t die hours after he meets future tony.

Maybe 04071970 is actually July 4, 1970 and not April 7, 1970. This would explain why Stark was so surprised that his mother was still expecting, despite him being already born in May? This would mean he was born prior to the baby his mother is pregnant with in July, 1970 (aligning with the adoption story). July 4th would also be a date (holiday) more likely to be recalled by him later on.
