The Loki finale ("For All Time Always") reveals the MCU's next major villain, Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conquerer. His variant, He Who Remains, hints at a connection to Doctor Strange and the Ancient One, suggesting that the full MCU timeline was according to Kang's script, and therefore, various sightings of Kang might have been hidden throughout the dozens of films in the Infinity Saga. Erik Voss breaks down 5 possible Kang sightings and suggests several more that we all might have overlooked!

Yep. It’s likely that this whole endgame scenario was supposed to occur because Tony Stark was the person who invented time travel. @@brap6557 I’ve wondered if he actually figured out Banner’s attempt at time travel first, which essentially was a fountain of youth. If Kang perfected that tech he could stay perpetually young and then use Stark’s time tech to travel freely while basically immortal.

Yes, although it's one the scientists increasingly don't think will happen. 8:15 I disagree with that. Strange didn't see beyond his death after getting dusted because getting dusted doesn't mean dying. It just means your existence being eliminated from the universe and being held in the soul stone. That's why they could all come back after the Blip.
At first, that seems like a good point. However, the soul stone that was used in the snap, was later destroyed. The one Tony used, was from the past, and therefore, did not have those people in "memory"/"storage"

@@Caine61 So maybe, the soul stone is just a doorway/gate to the realm, and time doesn't exist there?

I always thought Strange could see the future past his dusting because he was persistent and found out that 5 years later he would come back, since he's not "dead", and in the future he did come back, so maybe while searching the future he jumps straight from the time of dusting to the time of undusting, without seeing everything that happens in between(the 5 years). After that he checked everything that happened after he comes back, leading to the "1 way" everything works out.
I really loved what Jonathan Majors did with He who remains. We may be witnessing the best villain ever in the MCU. He who remains was a moving character. Vulnerable, crazy, evil but not quite, simply a stunning performance. The hype is real to see what will they do with Kang in the films.

Dr strange was able to see past his death because, he was looking at Tony's future. Thats why there was only one chance. He was the only one that would survive the snap that was capable.
But the Blip was not “death”, just a pause in their lifeline. He could see past the blip to the 14M+ scenarios because it was not the end of his life.
@@bradmhyman but I think it's because it was only in that one scenario, that Doctor Strange could see as it was only in that one scenario were he returns. It doesn't matter if the Blip is a pause in a lifetime, in all the other scenarios he never returned.

Makes a whole lot of sense! Awesome work NewRockstars! 👍🏻
Loki literally turns all our brains into a scrambled eggs and I love it.
A great detail you point out in this video: He Who Remains didn't have to prune every change to the timeline, ever, so long as it looped back into the larger timeline, the "braid" (i.e., in the longer scheme of things, events play out roughly the same way.) This is a common feature in a lot of time travel stories, the idea that if you, say, prevented Archduke Ferdinand from getting shot, the universe (or He Who Remains!) would bend events such that something else would have killed Ferdinand, and you still get WW I. He Who Remains only needs to prune any events that don't loop back to the main stream, because those are the ones that would lead to another version of himself. Time travel is typically very messy from a storytelling standpoint, but I kind of love what the MCU is doing with it.
I was thinking the same thing, Kang only needs the time line to create the same version of himself. He's not immortal he's just "cloning" himself in every loop. ,that's why he purges variants. That's why he said at the end, see ya next time.
2:14 I REALLY like the idea of retconning the change in actors like Edward to Mark, as corrections by Kang and the TVA!
The hail hydra branch was pruned when the TVA got Loki from the desert
Allow the Avengers to do what they needed to do in that timeline and then just prune it once they're done, sounds pretty simple to me

it's getting SO MUCH MORE interesting after Loki! So many questions, so many possibilities!!! I am so excited! 🔥🔥🔥
I think I got it and I don't think you've addressed this specifically. It's sort of obvious but basically: Kang (he who remains) was trying to prevent ALL OTHER Kangs from existing. In essence, he won the battle of the Kangs by pruning all timelines which lead to a Kang other than himself. Its possible, in my mind, that the the red line shown on TVA monitors marks the birth of another Kang in the variant timeline which is why the TVA was so desperate (unknowingly so) to prune the timeline before it reaches the marked red line. In the end, he was tired of doing the job and existing having experience everything there is to experience or maybe he was tired of living in a universe where he could not go to other timelines, as Kang is want to do.
Yea, by the time we see Kang, he legit just doesn't care anymore. He's tired of keeping everything in order, and he's practically immortal and has lived through much, so is satisfied with the life he has lived. He wanted to let someone else make the choice for once, and was content in dying.
Kang scared of Captain America that’s why he didn’t mess with him 😂
It was meant to happen like endgame was
He knew there were gonna be repercussions if he messed with americas ass
Nobody can mess with America's Ass The only one who can is Peggy.
Apparently Kang blames Cap for the world ending
this multiverse videos are overwhelmingly mindblowing
The line from He Who Remains sort of clears up the "why didn't Dr Strange see any other way" question, because any other path would have been pruned by the TVA. In every other timeline, Strange only saw up to the moment of his death (dusting) and nothing further. The one path that led to him coming back in Endgame was the only one where he was able to see a future where he comes back to life. As with the Ancient One, he can only see his own timeline, but dying only ends that timeline if he stays dead. It's a series of events that not only leads to the present of the MCU, but actually causes the events of Loki to happen as well.
"What MT hilariously called the Big Crunch" That's literally just what it's called lmao

We’re forgetting Kang was kinda scared when Loki arrived. Why was Ms.Minutes trying to negotiate with them, if Kang really did plan everything out?
He said in the episode he only knew what was going to happen up to a certain point. So unless he was lying, he was genuinely stalling for time and trying to prevent Loki and Sylvie from passing that point, giving them the option to kill him, but either way he knew if he died there would be another Kang to take his place. Whether it would be one who would restore the peace or destroy reality he didn't know and he assumed the worst.
The negotiation thing was a test to see if they were good enough to rule the TVA (like he wanted them too) I believe
"You can't just skip to the end, you have to be changed by the journey" He Who Remains in that episode. It was more for Loki and Sylvie's sake than anything.
Its just mind games making them think that they have free will when actually they don't

Fatal Flaw: Dusting =/= Death. You do not die when you are dusted. You are not killed. Similar to how when thanos temporarily changed the guardians into weird shapes but then returned back later when/as he kidnapped gamora. That's why strange saw beyond his "death". . . because he didn't die. He was only dusted. The fact that he COULD see proves that much.
To back you up, you hear peter tell tony in Engame that Strange said something like "it's been 5 years, they need us" (it was similar to this) so this basically just proves your whole point. Like how else would he know??
@@aflower5768 If you are trying to suggest that strange knew 5 years had past because he was awake for all of them, then that's not the case. They have shown countless times that people don't notice the snap and blip events. Many just wake up as if nothing had happened. As for how he could know they needed help, countless alternative reasons can explain this. 1.) cause if they came back, it's just simple math. Them coming back means the stones were used. So that means he just needs to find out where they are. 2.) Heindel's all seeing eye? That's just sorcery. He can use that to see any where at any time. He even showcases this in Strange 2 when he connected with zombie strange. 3.) Wong. He was the sorcerer supreme at the time. He could have sensed the return, got strange and informed him. As for how he could know about what year it is. . . do I really need to justify all the ways he can find that out? Like, random news paper, cellphone, literally asking the closest person to him. Some thing is missing from this video. First, the timeline it's actually a loop ,that repeats it's self infinity, with different variation. Kang only does one thing, he creates a loop that has the exact Kang every time ,he's not immortal, he just creates the same person every time. In order to do that there should not be any huge variations in time so he exterminate the variants. By messing with the loop and exiting the normal pathway, the next Kang created may be way different then the regular one.
In short, every event, person or place that may lead to create another Kang was exterminated.

"Reincarnation, baby"
@@AmaWinter God is "The Alpha and the Omega"
