This will be Kylian Mbappe’s last ever game for PSG as assuming this happens, he’ll go up against his future team, the team they’ve been trying to sign him every summer. Imagine if Mbappe ends his PSG career on a high and wins the Champions League because everyone knows that he’d off to Real Madrid next season whether or not PSG wins the Champions League against Madrid. He would cement his legacy as a French icon at the age of 25, if he’s able to win the Champions League at PSG because he’s done very well domestically and internationally, he has over 250+ goals for his club at the age of 25 he’s a World Cup winner and all he needs is a champions league title to his name. What if PSG loses the Champions League final to Real Madrid and he joins their club next season. The fans of PSG would see him as a snake and someone who betrayed them joining a club that beat you in the champions league final basically taking the easy way out. It’s like this saying “if you can’t beat them, then join them”. 8 years ago this is the route that Kevin Durant took when he joined the Golden State Warriors as when he was with the Thunder he joined the team that he blew a 3-1 lead. We should not associate the World Cup of 2018 with Mbappe. Mbappe was a part of that team and played his role as a youngster. But the pressure was not on his shoulder. He was neither the star player of France back then. It was Griezman who was the star player and was France best player. Mbappe real test in WC was in 2022, he lost in the final and did well. If you think that it is a good thing, it is wrong. La Liga is on a decline especially in Asia, particularly in Pacific region. No matter what Real Madrid does, it does not matter. You need Barcelona there to compete and make the La Liga interesting. Bundesliga is also a no man land here. Very few people watch Bundesliga game. Paris have a big chance to win this year. They have all the conditions to win. They have a good coach in the form of Luis Enrique who knows how to control his player, make them more cohesive and he has experience in UCL. Besides that, PSG have developed good relations with UEFA now.
