  • People are completely ignoring the fact that Salah was nearly leading the league in both goals and assists before injuring his hamstring in January with Egypt at AFCON. His drop in form has completely coincided with injuring his hamstring in January and being out of action for two months until just last month. Hamstring injuries are no joke, particularly for quick players like Salah. Just goes to show how short sided people can be.

    • Yeah but that doesn’t stop the fact that he’s missed half the season. In hindsight, Liverpool should’ve accepted that £150 million offer.

    • @@migez1 Loyalty> Money. Salah is literally the greatest winger in Premier League history. Yes, his behaviour is unacceptable but Klopp lets him warm-up early in the half, only for him to play the final 10 minutes. Salah never started arguing with Klopp who came to him. He's been out of form only goal scoring wise and he still has the highest G/A for this club. 24 goals and 12 assists in arguably his worst season. He never sullied his reputation after everything he and Klopp have done for us. Bringing all the titles home we could only dream off for years. He has been robbed of assists these past games after his injury because Gakpo, Diaz and that Haaland from Amazon Nunez skies it to Ireland. This guy still brings most to the table out of all the attackers when we're in transition. We're not Man United fans who just point a huge middle finger to one of their all time greats because he's sick and tired of playing with idiots. Yes, Salah isn't performing well but his passing abilities are still there. We can't give a legend like Salah a couple of games then decide to ditch him like trash because he's out of form for the first time in 7 years. This is Liverpool and ynwa. I don't care about that oil money, Salah is Liverpool heritage and we won't ditch him like he's some lowlife loanplayer.

    • I agree, he's not been the same player since his injury which suggests he's not 100% fit. That said, Salah is out of line for that display on the touch line today. He should just take a deep breath, get some sleep tonight and go into Klopp's office tomorrow and apologize

What about Son and Lloris fighting . Footballers fight and get angry all the time ,their humans too, but to say their bad influences to the younger generation, especially those two who have done so much for their communities and came from poverty is genuinely a terrible statement. • I think that modern fans are way too reactionary and the way a fanbase of a club sees a player regardless of how the team performs you just cannot have it both ways and Mohamed Salah is a prime example of this. Last summer, Al Ittihad were interested in signing him and many Liverpool fans didn’t want him to be sold to Saudi Arabia. He started the season on fire regularly getting goals and assists and was leading Liverpool in the Premier League title race and they were in contention to win almost everything. He was getting “best player in the world” shouts and was tipped as a “Ballon Dor candidate” this year. Since coming back from the injury that he picked up during AFCON, he has not been the same and things haven’t been going well for Liverpool either. In a span of 2 months they went from competing for a quadruple to now ending the season with just the Carabao Cup and are out of the title race after literally being top of the league at the start of this month. He’s been out of form lately he’s been misfiring dropped to the bench and now in an altercation with his manager on the touchline during the West Ham game. Liverpool fans went from gassing him up as the best player in the world to now wanting him sold to Saudi Arabia and the reaction of the fans some of this is down to the control they have on social media. Make it make sense, you were happy that he wasn’t sold last summer, he stayed at the club, he was doing well scoring goals and leading you in the title race and now because the team isn’t playing well and he hasn’t been himself lately, you want him sold and I feel like fans don’t know how to properly judge and perceive players because they have an overreaction on them when the team isn’t winning and the team isn’t playing well.

Salah is SEFLISH and because of his wastefulness, and selfishness, Li-VAR-pool is losing and ending up with Mickey Mouse cup (Carabao) which nobody cares about. It was Salah who couldn't help his country reach the last World Cup, it was Salah who FAKED his hamstring injury last AFCON, because he knew that his country wouldn't make it through the group stages and he was used as a sub, two weeks after FAKING his injury, same way as Trent Alexander does, whenever he is selected for the national team, because he knows that he'll be exposed in front of the whole world (remember Vinicius Jr.?) and then, as soon as he's back, he plays for Li-VAR-pool. All your idol Salah, whom you worship, cares about is getting the golden boots (up his), that's why he is so selfish, so wasteful and most of his goals are from the spot. • First of all the star and the key in this project is Klopp not Salah, we all must know that. If Salah stayed with managers like Mourinho instead of being signed by Klopp he wouldn’t be bigger than Zaha. With that said, Liverpool rejected 200M just to win a Carabao cup, it doesn’t matter if he is your best player, of course they regret it

  • Thats all the football clubs do. They try to predict the future of young upcoming stars and have to decide when it’s time to let the old guard go which is as important. Liverpool made a HUGE mistake by not selling him. Look at Real madrid, selling their LEGENDS for a huge amounts of money and it’s okay. As long as you don’t do it as barca did with messi then it’s okay.

  • Is Salah mad because Klopp didn't let him go? I don't see what Klopp would have done other than not start him -- just a reminder, it is common to the point of expected that when a player is having a bad period that you sometimes sit them down for the start. And how many times does that result in the star coming in and scoring a couple in 5 minutes. I don't see what Jurgen would gain from otherwise insulting Mo. I guess it's for the best that Klopp's reign will end in a month and it will be up to someone else to pull these guys together in the hopes they finish second to City -- for the foreseeable future.

When they see the age the player, they see a great offer, they take it so they can make big profit, the money Saudi were bout to drop for him, could have help yhe club big time. But no, they put feelings and now they can be in trouble

  • lol liverpool arent regretting anything...... salah has had a great season with recent exception where hes dropped off recently. but remember last season liverpool didnt finish top 4 and nobody predicted tehyd be in the conversation for the title this season, so if they sold salah then they wouldnt have as much chance finishing top 4 this season. They have that now, and although salah only has a year left, the saudis still want him, and money isnt a a concern to them...... they dont have FFP and 100 to 150 million to get the biggest middleastern/muslim player in the world to be the face of the league is still well worth it for that price. remember theyre not in a plce where theyre tryingt save a few million. if it gets the deal over the line theyll just pay up. Season hasnt ended great for liverpool, but based on where they were last season and still having the value in salah, theyll be fine. sell him now, reinvest into an already very good/young/high potential squad.
