    • He grew up in a bubble in Saudi Arabia. What the other guys were talking about was how the actual Saudi’s live their daily lives. If he lived like a true average Saudi he wouldn’t be saying it’s better than NYC. Edit: ooooooooh sorry sorry sorry. I read what I wrote. I understand the confusion now. I don’t agree on the other guy’s understanding of Saudi Arabia. They have correct criticism to were you want to weigh in on which is better. But they we’re coming at it like they thought Saudi Arabia was a backwater country. That’s not what I was getting at. My potion is that Saudi Arabia built their country in a way that only a devout Muslim would want to actually move there (Outside the bubble). This guy lived inside the bubble. Saudi is a great place to live if your willing to live with their laws. Most people of have to choose will choose NYC because it’s built for devout Muslims. And not all devout at that. I’m in now way saying they should change there way of live or governance. That’s their business solely.

  • "repressive Saudi laws about what women can wear" So just because women can't have their breast or ass out in public means it's "repressive"? Women aren't objectified & seen as eye candy for men in Saudi. That is in no way repressive.

    • I have lived in saudia for 10 years..and in my opinion saudi women are living the best lives a women can. 1- they wear whatever inside there homes or any building (just not in open areas like roads, parks ect).. 2-saudi culture is very family oriented in my 10 years of residence i was never been cat called, stared at, or harrassed) 3- their fathers, brothers, husbands spoil them with luxurious life..shopping from expensive brands is there favourite hobby while majority of them dont work. 4- they can work if they want, saudis make sure to make work environment for their women as comfortable and safe as possible). 5- most of them have live in maids, nanies, and drivers even those who are not very rich. Their husbands and fathers make sure their lives are as comfortable as possible. The only thing they have to do is not roam around half naked and not sleep around.

    • @@uroojnafees3436 Hm the problem a lot of women in the west have is they are too well open about their sexuality so to say, but a lot of that comes from bad family structure. I believe the women in SA do not want to walk around half naked outside like in the west but all that comes from good education and strong family values. To me honestly it sounds like heaven.

I don't know why westerners describe of how poor muslim women? How oppressed we are. In fact I live with best care and less worry. I don't have to worry about who the real father of my children is, I don't have to worry about if my husband got drunk and slept with random women, I don't have to worry about my child for having drugs. And even I don't have to go to wet market, because my husband always ready to go there instead. He did many obligations of a man, and I am enjoying the living of a housewife. Soon he will open a tiny shop for me, yes he help me fully to gain whatever I want. Study or job, I'm full supported. Alhamdulillah. Please do learn about my religion first, read our scripture first before you judge my religion only based on western media. It's full of propaganda, lies, and always slandering my belief. • The thing with this interview is that the americans kept trying to compare saudi/middle eastern values to the western ones. What it takes for a middle eastern person to live a happy life is different to the western person. A saudi person is happy without the alcohol, clubbing dating(by western terms) etc. They find solace in other things the world has to offer which arguably are far less detrimental and better the above mentioned things.

  • I grew up in Riyadh and spent 3 years in NYC. I found that most metropolitan American cities are perfect for visiting but never for living. Cost of living is too high, homeless everywhere, gang violence, children aren’t safe in schools, healthcare will hurt your bank so much, college costs are insane, and taxes. Not to mention children are being taught about transgenderism and genitals from a really young age. Meanwhile in Riyadh you’d find schools do not have things like bullying, mass shootings, or weird adults visiting kindergarteners to teach about vaginas on men. The city is much much safer too, super low crime rates and no gang violence. No taxes, good education, cheap and quality healthcare. It doesn’t mean that America is horrible. I still loved my time in NYC. It’s just that if you want to raise a family, there’s not many places safer than the middle east. If things like alcohol limit your choices to move here or there, then that is just sad and a misplacement of values. Do not ask your media about Saudi Arabia. Ask your fellow Americans and other Europeans who live and work there. I have yet to meet an American who hated being in Saudi Arabia.

  • I have lived there as well and had the best students in my career. The people are nice and very civil. However I do not agree with “fantastic weather”. I did get through a few sandstorms. But it felt like walking into a hair dryer everyday.
